I wouldn't be surprised if this was done with Eddies cooperation and blessing. Collingwood are in a strong enough position that Swann's talents aren't fully utilised.

Just like Pratt consulted Frank Costa re: Brian Cook I'm not sure Pratt would have gone behind Eddi'es back to recruit Swann.

Say what you want about Eddie, his priority and love for Collingwood certainly rests first, but I think he believes in a strong competion and strong opposition....even the hated enemy.

Make no mistake, this appointment along with the Icke appointment are masterstrokes by our esteemed President in aiding the recovery and return to power of this MIGHTY CLUB. :-D

Long live Richard Pratt!!!!

I would suggest this could be the case.

Yep AGRO. As much fun as it is receiving the inside word, it's better still when no one gets the leaks.

Don't know a lot about Swann, but can't find a lot of criticise about Collingwoods off-field performance over the last 3 years.

And the 5 years before that were better again

Yep. Dunno where those other 5 years went. Got 3 years in my head somehow.

Two flags rather than two runners - up would be preferable.

I believe Swann was a the brains behind purchasing the suburban gaming clubs/restaurants (The Club in Caroline Springs, etc) that the filth get all the proceeds for, thus increasing their bottom line. They're very successful ventures.

Exceptionally good news, and Swann has the runs on the board.

Even better would be Eddie's reaction. 8)

Lucky Jack not too many voting members took notice or got stooged by your preference for Smorgon.

Runners up is their speciality, flags are ours.

I wonder if GS can smuggle Dale Thomas into a Blue jumper under cover of darkness  (DT boards with GS and his wife).

Excellent news and I feel extremely confident that our future is in safe hands.

woohoo,

That would have been a heavily sanctioned Eddie approved article as well, from one of Eddies favourite lickspittles.

Beautiful to hear!!

Swanny brings Thomas, Cloke Snr brings Travis.

And they thought they lost out when Scoots made the move.

HA!

This sums it up, the brown-nosing Eddie lover...

Footnote: Tony Jones is an avid Collingwood supporter with a deep dislike of the Carlton football club. He, like every other Magpie fan, is counting down the days to that round seven contest. He's not only looking forward to singing the Collingwood club-song, but Carlton's "Swann song".

Anyway, first Balmey and now Swanny - the wheels may be falling off the Lexus...

Ok there are a few things I'd like to say or point out.

One being our beloved Mr Pratt is a lot like JE with a few suble differences in my opinion from afar. Unlike JE he is self made and has his own dollars to spend, but like JE he knows what he wants, see's it, sizes it up and gets it. - U @#$%&! Beauty.

Secondly (wanted to ramble on but Mrs 3 is going to cut my .....) and I cannot believe no one has said this yet.

How big and spitefull is our first round gonna be. Forget dreams of 80 for the Tiggas lets get 100 together to see the Pies eat shit.
