Great to see the boys play good, hard footy again...GO BLUEBOYS!!!!Were sitting in eighth possie with a fair chance against Freo on the wide spaces of Subiaco...It will also help with the return of Thornton too (i have been told by someone very close to the club that if he gets through training unscathed, he will be playing...)

I never though that a draw could make me so happy!!!

Special mention to Houla tonight...great game...BOG in my opinion, this is the way we all know he can play...geez im pumped...bring on next week!!!

Jarusa,

Was that Johno's best ever game in terms of possessions?

He was unlucky with 2 hitting the post. The other one he should've slotted

nope had 30 possies with the hawks before.

But given the pagan game plan, yep probably his best ever game.

I forgave him the two posters but he double-wahmmied that set shot because he took the mark in front of a leading Fevola.

However, around the ground he was bloody brilliant and he certainly didn't look too slow or anything.

T'Bird
Livingstone
Scotland
Camper

All to come back into this side!!!!!!!!!!!
Add T'bird and Livingstone and all of a sudden Norman is takin 3rd best tall and becomes a lot more attacking more so than tonight. Chambers + T'lo's performance really puts the pressure on the likes of davies, betts, wiggins, sporn to keep performing!!!

Very proud of our boys tonight. Was wrapped with Houla, Carazzo, Norman & Wiggo.

Couldn't get my 4yo son to bed, he watched the game all the way through to the end - he was on the edge of his seat just like his old man. When the siren blew & I explained to him that it was a draw, he asked me "Does that mean both teams sing the song?"
I gave the lettle fella the biggest hug & said that unfortunately no-one gets to sing the song when it's a draw! :?

Tell him in the morning that we played with greater spirit and so therefore we were really the winner

Yes, and Port's home ground advantage means that we were the better team.....

Hey, can I do a surrey impersonation,

There were no positives from this game and no matter what anybody says they cannot shake my fundamental belief, and no one can tell me what to do because I am my own man. I call it as I see it and there were absolutely, positively, no absolute positives.

YOOHOOOO SYYNBBAADDD!!!

Ill do a Jarusa impersonation.....
For as far back as my records show no team has had this many posters. .. no game has had this many posters.
Ill delve back into the stats and see what else i can contribute to footy discussion.

*Looks at my Bondy poster on my wall lovingly*

Positives were Wiggo.
Then its unlikely Kouta will ever be played in defence again...
T Lo.
Carrazzo
Won without Stevens and Scotland as well as Campo in the middle and for nearly a half without Kouta in there.
Who the hell was in the middle for us??

Johnson played well.
`Houlihan showed why he is a huge asset to the team.
French is the best ruckman going around...at the moment.
Were mid table.

Haven't seen any of the game but sounds like a great effort from the boys and I'm extremely proud. Remember the last time we played Port in Port? And the time before that? And the time before that (god is it just me or do we seem to play them in Adelaide every bloody year!)? Yep, we are an improving side no doubt about it.

I kept remembering that kick by friggin Burgoyne to bury us a few years back and I couldn't watch those two last shots for goal. Disappointed that Lade got that point, I was glad all our effort hadn't been in vain.

How good was it when we had Burgoyne running into an open goal and he had an attack of the cramps???
That was like Karma.

Yeah - I was kind of disappointed it wasn't a hammy to be truthful.

I don't wish injuries on many people, but that bloke....

I thought moving Lance down back actually improved the forward structure a bit.

It gave Fev a bit more room to move, plus sucked them all into focusing on him, meaning TLO/others snuck under their guard a bit.

Also Justin Davies - not much game time but did some very important stuff like chase & tackle when other guys began to run out of steam.

For all the talk of Pagan flooding though Port always seemed to have much more space in their F50 than we did. So, either Port flooded pretty badly or they moved the ball inside their 50m too quickly for us. A bit of both I say.

Best bit about T-Lo is he seems a pretty hamdy mark for his size, a la Brad Fisher. Will be interesting to see if Pagan ever assembles a forward line on the park containing the name Fevola, Whitnall, Deluca, Fisher, Longmuir.

Davies is a bit of a goer, if he could just string a complete match together. Patience camel, patience. ;)
