We'll be bottom four again.

Another good pick in this years draft.

2008 is when we begin the climb.

By 2010 or 2011 we should be all set for the flag.

Fair call - I am always up for giving someone a fair shot, however I read it with the Saints that it was more of a case that Ackland had to walk before they made him run. And I am just a little nervous about this being a sizable deficiency for us. If Ackland does turn out to be ordinary, who will do the ruckwork? And how will our young midfield learn to get first use of the ball?

No I think Ross Lyon in particular wanted to keep him and was disappointed he chose to leave.

Okay, now I've got that out of my system ...

I used to think the Saints had a good list in 2001 as well ...

Harvey, Thompson, Burke, Everitt, Loewe, Baker, Heath Black, Cripps, Gehrig, Hamill, Hudghton, Riewoldt, Koschitzke, Capuano, Hayes, Lawrence, Milne, Peckett, Schwarze and Voss to name a few.

Unfortunately we still finished on the bottom of the ladder for two years ...

On paper, Carlton are okay.

On field, the Blues will struggle to stay out of the bottom 4 in season 2007 ...

Intersting the saints. The same blokes that get injured keep getting injured and the season has not started yet

For the past 5 years i have been EXTREMLY un-lucky with my sporting teams. (except the Storm, thanks largly to their brilliant coach!)

VICTORY -
Finished 2nd last.

New Orleans Saints -
Won just 3 games!

Australia Cricket Team -
lost the Ashes. Never before in my life had i been so heartbroken to loose the Ashes to such an English side!

Atlanta Braves -
God Awfull!

Carlton -
Finished dead last Again!!!

Those were the respective results of my favourite sporting teams last seasons................................ but NOW..................................

THE SAINTS were champions of thier division and made it to one-game short of the god-damn Superbowl.

AUSTRALIA won back the Ashes 5-0!

& MELBOURNE VICTORY did an absolute ass-rape of Adelaide with a 6-0 win (5 to my old Carlton Hero Archie Thompson) to become CHAMPIONS OF THE A-LEAUGE!

Now i might be getting a little head of myself but i'm a little confident that Carlton can do quite well this year.

Dennis has had the kick in the ass that he so desperatly needed.

Rattern is gonna do wonders for our midfield.

Kouta is just gonna go out and have fun, which is gonna be great to watch.

We have a VERY small, quite posibly non-exsistant Injury List.

Free of DeLuca / Sporn / Prenda / McGrath / Livo & certain others.

Murphy is back.

Waite is having a non-injury-interupted pre-season.

Walker & Simpson have matured.

Setanta is just getting started.

Smorgan is out.

Pratt is in.

Members are coming back.

Positivity is coming back.

WINNING WILL COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And, dare i say it......................so to might the arrogence!

I don't wish to get ahead of myself, and i not gonna let myself get carried away, i'm just merly pointing out a current trend that might continue! Let's hope it does!

No doubt the ruck division in the short term is our biggest deficiency. If we can break even in the ruck, we will win games. I think our defense (a weak area for the past few years) will improve this year and our offense has a bunch of weapons. Midfield now has depth and class.

Ditto.

Short term problem is the ruck. Main reason due to height and experience.

I am just so glad French is gone, gone, gone, even moreso than DeLuca. DeLuca's gone too. Now at least we've cleaned that mess/ false sense of security.

Ackland gave French a bath both times, and the other time he was out injured. At least Ackland will give us something around the ground, including the ability to take marks and kick goals; that's an improvement in my book. French took an average of 2 marks a game (or something like that...I don't care too much...he's gone). On the negative side, Ackland is only 196 cm, and that's an issue with the ruck dept if Ackland and Cloke are to be our ruck division in 2007.

In the future, sure we have Hampson (who should debut in 2007) to take on the centre bounces, and let Ackland/ Cloke do the around the ground body ruck work. Hampson and Jacobs are our future along with Aisake, but they're the future! They need experience...and I wouldn't mind them getting that in 2007.

We should improve a hell of alot for all the reasons ryan 2000 has given.

Ryan2000 I love your post...there's a cryptic message in all that..."I had a dream"...and you know what? You're right about all the improvements this year. Even Pagan perhaps...but lets see if the leopard has changed his spots in the real season.

we're a new club, with a new outlook in 2007. No doubt about that.

We should end up higher than (?=possible):

Kangas
Brisbane
Bumbers ?
Hawks ?
Port ?
Tigers ?
Magpies ?

Top 8 teams to be:

WCE
FREO
SWANS
DOGGIES
CROWS
DEES
GEELONG
STKILDA

Prediction:
10th-14th in 2007.
8th-12th in 2008.....Knocking on the door
2nd-8th in 2009......Finals
1st-3rd in 2010.......Flag 17
2011......................Flag 18
2012......................Flag 19
2013......................Flag 20

Blues to finish 7th above:-

MELBOURNE

WESTERN BULLDOGS
RICHMOND
PORT ADELAIDE
COLLINGWOOD

KANGAROOS
BRISBANE
Essendon*

The new assistant coaches will help a lot.

Believer or delusionist?

I will bet anyone, right here right now that Carlton will NOT finish above Collingwood in the season proper ladder at end 2007.

Who's in?

$100 do you Mandy?
