Disaster for lowly clubs with less free to air games....major sponsors wont want to know them...the interstate teams just have too much of an advantage to make it a level playing field.

Some of you people need to look at it from a less selfish point of view.

Do you understand what having less FTA coverage means for us? It means less likelihood that we'll get sponsors. The interstate teams will be able to hike up their sponsorship rates next year knowing that they have an advantage in being seen on FTA every week.

Those of you supporting this deal are probably voters who vote for selfish reasons rather than thinking of what would be good for the country as a whole. I'm sorry if this offends you but let's face it, one of the reasons our sponsors dropped off in the last few years was because on the field we were sh*t and therefore the FTA coverage lessened.

Sponsors want exposure and with a lot of our games going to Fox, sponsors will not get much value for money and will either pull out or negotiate a lowering of the amount they pay us.

Think about it you Fox supporters.

Couldn't agree more CC.

Can someone please tell me AGAIN why moving to Telstra Dome and the MCG was going to get us more games on FTA?

Whilst I appreciate that we are shite at the moment [at least until the official press conference announcing the arrival of Sir Richard :-D] we could have stayed at PP and received the same lack of coverage without the ridiculous car parking prices at TD.

FTA games will be in high definition. Foxtel is worse than standard definition free-to-air (bit-rate for sure, resolution might be the same). Not sure what you're excited about there.

I heard we'll have 9 games on FTA, 13 on pay. Not good for sponsorhip.

When we start consistently winning games, Ch7 & 10 will choose to broadcast us.

Until that day I'm selfishly happy because I already have Foxtel.

Exactly Mrs Cazz....

We cant cry about not getting the FTA coverage if we are BOTTOM of the ladder.....think about it....

When we are up there we will....

And about FTA being clearer than Foxtel...where's that come from...I dont have digital FTA , so cmon Foxtel....its awsome.

Simple ...win games = better FTA coverage...

Well yeah if you're still on the old analogue then it's going to be worse than Foxtel. Try digital FTA, even the standard definition stuff beats Foxtel. Will cost you about $50.
