Wouldn't Troy Longmuir be a good chance to come in this week especially if we are going to drop Davies.

Carlton also confirmed midfielder Scott Camporeale would undergo surgery this week to repair a fractured cheekbone, suffered in a clash of heads with Magpie Andrew Williams.

Camporeale could have played with the injury, but will undergo the surgery as he is suspended for one game for striking Collingwood opponent Brodie Holland.

re - campo - any idea if he fractured it before or after the holland strike?

I have heard that he went into the game with the cheekbone injury.

He had Richard Cole's head cannon into his cheek (accidentally) in the second half and he went off for some time. It looked quite forceful and I said to Mrs P that I reckon he would have fractured his cheekbone.

Hopefully over the next month or so some really big questions will be asked of our young list. I am intrigued to know what the answers will be.

If I were Livo, I wouldn't be rushing back from injury. Our defence is doing so badly that our view of Livo's ability is increasing even thoug he isn't playing.

Well 'The Hermanator ' Herman Maier had a heap of injuries .
Once he almost lost a leg in a motorcycle accident but he still continued to race down hill.. He won a Super Giant Slalom soon after almost losing his leg.

Campo just has a cracked cheek. 2 to 4 weeks .
Im sure Denis allowed him to go take a panadol and had him straight back on the ground to do what he normally does...(go missing when we need him most)

Anyway, not everyone is as courageous as the Hermanator.Down hill skiied with all kinds of injuries during his career.
Started many a season with injuries like broken ribs...

Anyway, time to give a kid a go this week.
Id love to see some pace and enthusiasm injected into the side. Russell would be nice.

Isnt it refreshing seeing the Hawthorn kids playing footy?? First year players just going full bore with enthusiasm of playing footy.

Tough as nails is our downhill skier, see him take hits week in week out, suprised he does not deck more players like he did Brodie "fingers Holland. Probably like to see him smack a few more grotty taggers, but do it in the way Williams did. Nice and sneaky.

Was never convinced Livo's injury was as minor as the club inferred.

Still it gives a chance for our younger players to impress. Lets hope they do.

What's all this shit a couple of weeks ago pagan saying he passed a fitness test? :?

he did, but it blew up horribly. club doctor very surprised - hope he didn't aggravate it by trying too early, thus leading to surgery...

poor guy i have to say get the feeling he tried to play early so he wouldn't lose his spot, in a important year for him, that he knows his under pressure.

I'm actually dissapointed the club doctor let him train after a injury that seemed very serious, anyone could tell he wouldn't be right for at least a week.

If his out for 6 weeks he won't be ready untill round 10 and will miss already close to half the year and then play in the VFL when his available and then fight his way back in the team, that could take several weeks for his injury to be 100 percent fine and perform well.

If it is a 4-6 week injury i guess it will be more like 6-8 weeks instead, looking at Koutoufides as a example

What's Davies done wrong? Oh that's right he didn't kick straight. 10 or so shots at goal in first 3 games. You'd be saying he is a star if he'd kicked straight. Have faith in this kid he will be special.

Due to our weakend defence Sporn has been playing a different role.

I dont think we should be so quick on turning on the players. We need these two players to play senior footy and get games under their belts.

Outs for this week should be.

Campo, Scotland ( Pending an appeal ), Wiggins, Johnson.

In: Walker, Chambers, Bentick, Bannister.

Give Longmuir another full game for Bullants and maybe he can play his first game for us against Freo.

I'm still saying that we should play Setanta on Tredrea. If anyone's gonig to give value for money that bloke is.

And it frees up our seriously deficient existing defence arrangement.
Tredrea will kick a few but he's going to anyway.

IMO unless Livo has a shocker of a year, he won't be cut at the end of the year even though he only has a 1 year contract. With our current lack of depth, to trade him would be insane.

With Livo and T-Bird out Denis is obviously getting desperate for KP players after this shot from training.
