No bagging Synbad, just facing reality......There can be no doubt that in the best interest of the club both Smorgan and Malouf should go....No individual is bigger than our club and it's time to bring all the factions together and pulling in the one direction.....This will not happen with Smorgan and Malouf.....

We might have to get out there with some pen and paper and collect signatures ...

Synbad...that last part, do you say that to force an EGM? Is it possible that the Status Quo grouping could seek to force out the Hopeful 5 and bring in their buddies without a vote? I cant see why the Hopeful 5 cant refuse to resign - surely they would have to be voted off with an absolute majority - meaning we would have a hung Board?

Earlier this year Newton and Gleeson were brought in without any vote at all to us so there is precedent and perhaps clauses in the constituion to bring in Directors without going through us?

Was thinking the same. Does Smorgon really think the masses would allow him to dictate the club? That is what it will become if he gets his group in a dictatorship.

Smorgan pays no respect to TC and he only is taking the time now to do presentations to the supporters, members etc as it is an election year...If he survives, I say bring on March 07 and he will feel the true roth of TC.....and yes he appears to be a Dictator....

I think the adage 'the sooner the better' overrides any fear of bad timing. Carlton, and Carlton people, have to act. Now. Pure & Simple.

Bad news....Both Smorgan and Malouf have survived....Smorgan and Marcus Rose believe that they have the numbers to be realected next March....i say it's time for all TC members to rise as one and ensure that both smorgan and Rose are ousted.....

So the 9-1 became a split when those opposed to the 'Hopeful 5' saw what was happening and switched? So now a CEO is supported by half a Board?

So what happens now then? A split Board; right down the middle. Each asking for the resignation of the other side and no way to split it other than a) changing sides or b) EGM election?

Could Kernahan be a swinging voter?

Well Italian Blue someone needs to go public with the contenders else we have nothing to vote for.

Time for names to be named and the truth to come out, this letter being sent out will be all contrived crap.

Questions need to be asked of ALL board members now, this isn't the first time a decision has been voted on yet nothing happens.

I'm confused.

Is this the 'thing' that has been brewing, or something else entirely?

God, I hope it's the latter.

Did they really think Smorgon would walk? They must have had a fair bit up their sleeve to suggest the CFC would be better off with a new regime. If anything 2006 has shown that Smorgon is pretty stubborn and believes himself to be a good, long-term president. Why would he stand aside if he believed that...'for the good of the Club'?

i want them both to stay......

I want it all to catch up to them both...

The AFL rated them "worst performed in the AFL"....and were stcuk with them ....

i want people to reclaim our club...

Its shits me that people can just sit there and cop it in the arse....

thats whats happening now..

JohnM.. this was to pave the way for new things.

I wish to put forward a vote of no confidence in all board members. I would hate these guys to be the dury in a court case if I was to receive the death sentance. You honour we find the defendant guilty, no wait, innocent, no wait ....

I think right now we have a severed board...

they would have voted 5-5 and smorgons vote was cast as the power vote.. so he voted himself even though half of them didnt want him.. or more of the rest of them..

So how this unfolds is interesting but will be answered another day...

Just underlines where were at..

But im sure there will be something in the paper that will sound good tomorrow...
