Oh, I was under the impression that it was 38 senior players.

We have had 38 (+6) this year, but that is by choice (and mainly so as to have salary cap relief, quite a few clubs chose this mix), but the standard is 40+4.

Can't argue with any of today's list decisions ... bring on trade week now for stage 2 of the renovation. The folly of those 2 year contracts doled out by Ratten at the end of 2011 is obvious when you look at those 8 names.

PS It'll take me a long time to get over the selection of Marcus Davies for the 2009 and 2010 finals campaigns.

2011 ;)

Don't think I'll ever forgive him for that free kick in the square against WC.

You might want to direct your anger at Carrazzo's first quarter, the worst (and as it turned out the most telling) 10 minutes by just about anyone in Brett Rattens coaching career.

Duigan saved his skin against Richmond.
Malthouse has always said he rates players based on how they perform on the big stage.
That was why he picked Thomas at no.2 when he wasn't expected to go top 5 (ellis was rated as clear no.2 at the time

I'll try to find the post I did on it way back.

We were smashing them, they were helpless until 4 or 5 different things Carrots did that got them back in the game.

Not bashing Carrotts, I like what he brings normally, but that was a very bad 10 minutes.

Haha... thought I was the only one... keep and develop Lucas

McInnes stays as well

Compare their misses to other clubs before posting rhetoric.

Stephen Wells picked Scott Simpson and Dan McKenna in the 2007 draft.

Hine let the Pies give up a good pick for Krakouer and Ceglar. Darling was the next pick. Hine also drafted Daniel Farmer in the 2010 draft.

OK....every team has it's misses. Tell me all the hits Hughes got us?

In the meat of the draft - pick 6-65 2004-2011?

Carlton: Russell, Bower, Grigg, Hampson, Armfield, Yarran, Robinson, Lucas, Bootsma, Watson, Buckley

If you think we have the list to expect success - look at THAT list and weep!

Geelong (also pick 6-65 2004-2011) Egan, Varcoe, West, Stokes, Selwood, Hawkins (FS), Taylor, Motlop, T Hunt, Menzel, Duncan, Christensen, Vardy, Laidler, Smedts, Guthrie, Horlin-Smith, Shroeder, Podsiadly, Kersten, Murdoch

Only a fool would defend the recruitment performance of the club by comparing it with Geelong's LOL

I'm all over a great trade for knockers while he is up and about.

Get me something shiny out of GWS or Te Suns and I will be smiling.

I would consider trading Murphy if the right deal could be done that was in our favour (e.g Pick 1 or 2 + something resonably good).
