Confirming what we've probably already confirmed, but anyway. Still a long, long way behind the Pies.

Probably not a good idea to compare really... they pretty much make the wheels turn. Best we focus on coming second. That's just the reality.

Happy to be second. That still leaves room for another 20,000 to jump on board!

Today again shows how stupid these membership numbers are. Cats vs Tigers drawing low 30's at the G. These membership numbers thrown around in the media are a joke and no journalist questions them. The real numbers for support should be attendances at home games where we always do much better then those "membership" rankings.

You certainly dont hear quite so much about memberships, or rather season tickets, in european soccer. More interest in how many you draw through the gate

Why doesnt the AFL just standardise the way the figures are reported by all teams? If we, for instance set an 11 game membership as the base of 1 full club membership then all other memberships sold above or below this base amount would be expressed as a factor of the base. Report the absolute number of members as well.

It similar to reporting headcount in most businesses as numbers and full time equivalents. Its the only way you can really compare numbers and its simple to do.

Roughly 6 weeks to go. Little chance of 50k. I think the work gone into membership retention has been disappointing. Would be interested in the churn rate figures.

Our shocking scheduling hasnt helped nor did our poor start to the season.
The club might have to really push the 3 game memberships now, not that they are great value.

Been seeing this most weekends on Fox Footy inbetween games and at ad breaks. This is how you push for 50,000. Incidentally, I've seen plenty of other teams do similar, but why doesn't Carlton ever have a television presence re: membership or anything at all, really?
