Kouta met with Denis on numerous occasions.

Denis new exactly how Kouta and the playing group felt.

Bang on all you like about how Kouta is evil for Carlton. The board, Denis, the players and supporters all knew what was going on.

So many @#$%&! hypocrits on this site bagged Denis mercilessly over a long period. Now someone who earned shitloads of $ playing for our club calls it as it was and you bag him too - pure jealousy - he earnt too much therefore he deserves derision

I wonder what Ratts thinks of how Denis treated players at our club?

I wonder what Greg Williams thinks of how Denis treated players at our club?

I wonder what Michael Sexton thinks of how Denis treated players at our club?

I wonder what Fraser Brown thinks of how Denis treated players at our club?

Actually, I know what these guys think. And they know what many of our list over the past 5 years thought also.

Quick, there's a chance to bag a Carlton player - jump on board it's great fun. As you do, forget all the things you said about the past 5 years - none of it matters - you can log on - slag off a player for saying what so many have already said and feel good about yourself. It doesn't matter, you are hiding behind a keyboard.

Kouta is such a turd for calling it as it was

Obviously we would have been better off keeping Denis and ploughing on.

Go Blues.

So saying "I didn't think he needed to know" on national television is bullsh!t. It came out of his own mouth Ock. No second hand info, straight from his own mouth.

You can't possibly dispute that. Surely

Teaguey

I know what I know.

Should Kouta have also called DP a liar?

No need for the rolling eyes - believe whatever you want too - DP knew exactly what was going on.

Lacks a little eloquence, but I like your passion. 8/10 :-D

How about this then?

Will you all kindly refrain from speaking with such negativity about this topic? Considering its lack of relevance to the football club and society at large, one would think it should not be considered an issue for any type of discussion whatsoever

Relax its a legitimate issue its part of the acceptance process we ve all gone through the initial denial we ve all gone through the anger that followed we ve all experienced the grief .. apportioning blame is part of the final rationale process .

I think Barb was to blame

The other thing that Kouta said that serving chips within the souvlaki was a piece of Greek cuisine.

Please Greek-TCers, is this true or is Kouta being a phallus (φαλλος).

Well said, Ockham. I've seen some pathetic efforts on footy forums but this slag fest tops the lot. You're wrong about them bagging Pago for five years though, Ockham. Most of this lot couldn't get up Pago's clacker quick enough when he was first appointed coach with the site bellweather, Sinners, leading the charge. They continued to eat Pagan's shit like it was fairy floss for the next three to four years while anyone with half an ear for footy would have heard the pennies dropping (virtually from our first game against All Stars in 03). Most of them were drowning in dropped pennies before they started to realise Pagan wasn't the all-powerful football god they believed he was.

So they're not jealous of Kouta, Ockham. They're hurt. They're lashing out at Kouta because if he had've said something about Pagan earlier they wouldn't have looked so completely stupid on a public forum. There is a veterinary term for this type of reaction - it's called the I-Was-A-Complete-Twat Syndrome or the I-Can't-Tell-Shit-From-Fairy-Floss Syndrome.

The really sad part is they're willing to guillotine Kouta and once again stand by the dark lord just to cover up their embarrassment at being complete twats.

I knew our players were weak, pretty poor on Kouta writing about that in his book, why not tell the media that when he was still playing this year or the years before.

The club is like Freo Dockers and will not be successful if players are sooking all the time when things don't go their way.

I can't believe he comes out with a book just after retiring and making so much money on his football. The book will sell well, because of the dirt and people will like to to read more about it.

The players to me, seem bitter they got delisted or shown the door when they didn't want to do the job and to me maybe Kouta was bitter that Pagan let Manton and Christou get delisted or forced to retire along with others getting traded.

I wish he didn't come with the book, money isn't everything,John Ilhan had it,he doesn't have it now and by all reports he was a real good man.

He should enjoy his retirement and help the kids in the club and have a steady business.

I dont have a problem if he writes a book and in it he slags off Denis

But the timing is shit

We had 5 years of Denis and we want to move on.

The hun, the Age a current affair Ockman give us a break man Kouta has gone for the easy grab and in the process brought up all the negative shit we thought we were rid of over the last 5 years plus a free plug for his shop. A current affair is a disgraceful show anyway
So we dont know Kouta personally Big Deal
So we arnt built like Adonis Big Deal
So we havent made 5million bucks from the club Big deal
The club's brand name yet again has been tarnished all for a book which obviously was in the process of being written whilst your man was running around with the backing of the coach.
As for hiding behind a keyboard well I would be happy to grab a souv from the great man and tell him what a fine player he was but this book should of been released a few years later
All things are relative and balanced. Your post isnt.

I can't decide whether we footy fans argue with each other more during the season or the off-season.

As usual there is a lot of over-emotive crap being written, and I think it stems from the majority of us not being able to express our views succinctly.

As far as I'm concerned, MOST people don't have a problem with Koute writing his book per se, purely in the manner in which he has handled some of the incidents he described, and in the timing of the writing and publication.

Of course, I could be completely wrong about that. 8)

It's not just a Greek thing, some other cultures do it as well (very common in Israel for instance, only there a souvlaki is called a shwarma :-D ). Where it originated from I don't know, perhaps omeone else can enlighten us

About time Pagan copped some heat. Everyone feels sorry for him because he is politically correct in public, behind closed doors a different matter so it seems.

At least Kouta had the balls to get this out in the open. I have no problem with it at all.

So he is selling books, I am certainly going to MC labour tommorrow to get one for sure.

There are certain things that have pissed me off about Kouta over the last few years, but these things needed to be said at some point.
