He's the best in the business.

The club has been leaking like Jill's bucket the last few weeks

he did not say it was TE.

a rival ticket is the only sane thing that's been talked about.

This has been a shakedown for some time now. Elliott wants in, perhaps in his mind it's his birthright?

Malthouse will be lucky to be given 5 minutes to collect his personal effects before being escorted off the premises.

don't think the club has the money to pay him out... don't think they can afford to get rid of him..

lets see what happens..

Micks salary is already in the budget. Nothing additional there (nor with any other loyal assistant who walks with him). The only additional cost would be any additional salary to Laidley to step up from assistant to senior coach.

He might be 100% accurate in everything he said this morning, but he has to be out of the club today for trashing the board and Trigg.

in the budget doesn't mean its in the bank. budget for money coming in and money going out and with the gate receipts being crap I would say more money going out than coming in...

I'm not sure you understand the concept of "can't afford".

If it's in the budget, one way or the other they are paying that amount. Or are you suggesting that the club could go to the coaches later in the year and ask them to take a pay cut because gate receipts are down? Interesting concept.

There's a fixed amount Carlton will be paying its coaches this year. Sacking Mick now or letting him coach out doesn't change that amount, except if they had to pay an assistant slightly more to step up.

Once Mick's gone, it's all good. We win 16 in a row and the 2016 flag is ours

LOL. My daughter, who's been overseas (in Mexico and Texas) for the past 3 weeks just received the email from el presidente. She posted this on a certain social media site which has the same initials as Flower Bumblers.

Sarah G wrote:
This letter makes me feel worse about the future of the club, not better. There is a whole playing team, a whole coaching panel, and a whole administration responsible for the current situation... not just 1 man. Ever think that maybe it could be the environment he's in that's not allowing for his coaching success?! Maybe time to look at yourselves as a whole club. Just this once. We can't keep blaming Fev, praising Judd, blaming Mick, etc. Nothing got better when Fev left, when Judd came, or when Malthouse came... Carlton tends to rely on/blame 1 person at a time for our failure/success. Pretty sure my membership helps pay for ALL of your salaries. So, I don't get it. What will getting rid of Mick achieve? Is there another/a better plan in place? There are so many problems that need to be looked at. Where has the ownership and responsibility gone? Especially from the guys at the top... so quick to place blame. ‪#‎theresnoIinteam‬ ‪#‎disgusted‬

12,000 miles away, doesn't go on TC, hasn't talked about footy with me for weeks, and still insightful enough to get the whole situation. #DatsMyGirl

Maher was asking for anyone suitable and willing to makeplans now.
You don't know who he meant.
It's the only way forward.
if you don't like it, get busy organising the Jimmae Ticket.
As Synners said, let's wait and see who fronts up with a ticket, and who else would be on the ticket if it is indeed TE.

Seriously though Mick is just one issue. There are so many more that need addressing

I would be surprised if Wiley didn't walk with him, I would be hoping Buttifant would as well.

Wiley and Buttifant are gone.

McKay is here until the board changes #teflon

daisy.... he can relax and enjoy his footy

Laidley will sit around frowning for the rest of the year figuring out which team will pay him the most for his consultancy skills next season

People have every right to feel aggrieved at the Board but ultimately Mick is responsible for the football side of this operation. He reconstructed the list to fit his vision and now has to stand by the consequences. Who can honestly say that he has taken us forward vis-à-vis our list. We were a team that had leg speed and could move the ball quickly. Remember he said he was seduced by our highs and wanted to address the lows. He tried to force a game plan that didn't suit our list. Moved on talented players (especially in the forward half) without replacing them and has left us a rabble. He shares the lionshare of the blame. He has denigrated the club publicly by declaring that talented assistant coaches and free agents don't want to come to us. I thought that was part of the reason we brought him in. Blame the Board by all means but I think they are acting in the best interests of the club in moving him on -- it simply hasn't worked and now that Mick has his record, he has no interest in being part of the train wreck he in large part created.

Board v Malthouse

It's like watching Collingwood v Essendon* 10 years ago and trying to decide who you disliked most.
