Im a melbournian but that is absurd
if the game is now 'Truly national', why don't they run the standard 7.40 game.
All vic footy lovers would still watch the game with a 9-9.30 start melbourne time.

5.40 is peak hour
terrible time, no time to get to the ground and soak up the atmosphere etc.
