You had the the best time of your life while your family was dying at home!?

Oh, your family wasn't dying at home? I see, your experience has nothing to do with Yarran's.....

Lucky we don't have conscription anymore god help the young blokes these days if they struggle to move interstate to play a game

Garlett seems to have siezed his moment and he has had it a lot tougher than most

Garlett's both older than Yarran and I am also sure I just heard him on TV say that his family has moved to Melbourne to help him out, not quite a valid comparison....again...

Also nothing to do with young blokes these days, what about Oliver? Couldn't even stand a couple of hours drive away from home, let alone interstate. Wouldn't be hard to find other examples to blow more holes in your arguement.

Hey I entered this having a go at the recruiters saying they should take a good look at themselves

Maybe they are poor judges of character I don't know - The kid seems to have issues should they have picked up on it

SB, he's a massively talented 18yo kid dealing with a personal family issue - just give him a break

Yarran will hopefully be a Carlton player for all of these seasons if not a couple more. Can we show just a speck of patience? To accuse him of being of poor character, while perhaps the most significant male figure in his life is close to death says far more about those posting such utter shit than it does about Yarran. Honestly I cannot believe how keen people are to shoot him down. The lack of perspective is shameful.

Not a bad achievement, but are you assuming everyone should be the same as you? And their circumstances the same as yours?
Everyone's different!

What's actually wrong with Yarrans character? I think WH can be held responsible for many things but deaths and illness in a recruits family probably isn't on the list. I presume you have never spoken to the lad to know his character, so maybe you just need to change feet SB and give it a rest.

Regards Cazzesman

Ok I've had few drinks and I don't usually post when I have because I spill the beans as such

I don't think anyone can question the kids character. He has a right to fly home to see his most cherished value in life.

My Grandpa probably ment more to me than my Dad, even though my Grandpa lived in Port Maquarie. Why? Well he just had that connection in my life, the words he spoke the actions he showed it meant alot to me and his values till ring true through my day to day life, I'm not saying Dad was a dunce by the way

I want Yarran to stay as I see the talent he has, but I can also see the situation unfolding where he could easily ask for a trade to be near his 'mentor'.

I mean this in the nicest possible way, I hope he wants to stay at Carlton and not want to return home only for the reason his GP is nearing the end. My Nan (Grandpa's wife) nearly died last week, no one ever tells me these things as I'm an emotional person, but when I called her she always tells me she just wants to leave the world (like she always does), I can live with that as she tells me to move forward in life and make the most of myself.

I hope Yarran realises, yes his GP or whoever is close to leaving the world, but realise as well that his GP or whoever will want him realising his talent and what better than the biggest stage of all, a Carlton Premiership!!!

Even if Yarran has an inkling to go back right now... its only natural...
Ryder
Bower
Franklin

etc etc etc all wanted to go home...

.. but none have ...

.... an i dont see why everybody assumes he is hanging to get back there.....and that kind of means he will...

Well he's back and has snagged a goal in the Bullants' first-quarter spree against Coburg. Extreme professionalism to come back in time for the VFL, IMO.

Either nothing or he's not willing to share so leave Josh alone.

As jimmae said, Yaz is back and as I speak has bagged his 2nd goal for the ants with some class.

Yarran has had at least 4 assists and 2 goals, and I've missed about 6 goals in this game...

Yeah but he doesn't want to be here Jimmae, and he's dubious, and he can't leave his family

Had a great game last week before being taken off to travel to Adelaide.

Now he has returned from WA and sounds like he's having another very good game for the Bullants.

Certainly appears to be putting pressure on those in the 22 to keep performing!
