Its unfortunate cos this was the make or break year for Setanta, and I honestly thought he would come good... the mongrel in him is unmatched at AFL... unfortuatnely I don't think he will get the chance to "make" it. Although I still think he deserves a chance in the second half of the year (can't see him being allowed to play in the first half).

the kick will be the thing. the punches mean nothing, but kicking (even though it was just a 'take that') meant the wolves would howl for blood.

If what im told about the incident is true, i support Setanta's actions (as do most of his team mates apparently).

You dont just whack a team mate for NO reason.

Thats all i will say.

Let me say this, the kicking while he's down was low but, Cloke *snip*

By the way THE BIGGEST MEDIA BEAT UP IN FOOTBALL HISTORY.

Go the big Irish lad!!!!

*post edited by camelboy*

Why was it snipped????

So its ok for everyone to pass judgment on Setanta and hang him out to dry but not Cameron Cloke!!!!!

Its funny how the media has forgot to mention a wayward elbow into Setantas throat and Cloke getting into his face.

If anyone wants to know a little about the character of Cameron Cloke send me a personal message - be happy to tell you a little about Cam

Whatever news you have on Cloke still doesn't justify Carlos actions Melvey.

If issues exist then they can be dealt with off the field in a controlled manner.

It does not justify his actions what so ever, he lost his cool. From what i know about Cam Cam the big mucho man i can see why Setanta acted the way he did and glad he made Cam look like a little school girl.

The kick was basically Setanta saying 'come on, you think you're tough get up' well deserved if you ask me.

and Cloke is one of Ratts favourites...... sheeesh!!!!

This just gets stupider by the minute. So now not only are we standing up for him, there's suddenly an increasing chorus of "Cloke probably deserved it" FFS, this is ridiculous and I can't flowering wait for the club to make a decision so this shit can end.

You never know that the match review tribunal will do, but Carlos could be looking at about 6 weeks. Followed by at least a month in the VFL, that would mean we'd be basically a player down for the 1st half of the season already.

If you can get reported in an Intra Club game, surely it stands to reason that you should be able to serve your suspension from the AFL by missing how ever many games they suspend you for including NAB cup and Intra Club games. If he gets 6 weeks, we should just play 6 "intra club" games...... :smoking:

Bachar Houli smacked out McVeigh last year and because it wasn't captured on camera nothing was said nor was any player disciplined

There once were 2 hot headed guys working out in a gym. One guy ran past the other calling for the handball...

That's disappointing. I'd pay good money to see Mcveigh get smacked!

It wasn't out in the car park with a certain team's jumper tucked under the arm?
