Does anyone know if there is an open training seas before the boys fly to Brisbane?

i really don't agree. this season is done. we just came 8th. the reality that we make a prelim let alone a gf is beyond slim.

when both these guys could do the kind of damage that requires surgery, rules them out of preseason and affects 2025, i think you just rest them. charlie's ankle is a 2-3month injury, and the chances he goes down just from changing direction (and turns it into a 4-5mth injury) in the 1st qtr is thru the roof.

i'd rather go full tilt with a new HP manager and possibly a new assistant coach or two in 2025.

harry and kemp can do a job, and so too pittonet in the ruck verse mcinerney who would give tdk a bath after so much time off.

In another thread you complained we are too risk averse?

i'm not sure why people equate being risk adverse to dodgy selections of players who are 70-80% fit??

like i explaied to bondi (who assumed the same) ... imo, we're risk adverse in our gameplan and lack of dare and backing ourselves to run and carry and take on the corridor.

risking 2 of our best 3 players who are 80% fit and can do further damage that eats into next preseason & season (like tdk & charlie) is being sensible.

If I recall, Port went up there last year for the first final with injured and underdone personnel. Worked for a while then fell apart. Thier finals campaign went downhill from there. Heed the warning. It never works.

We have to go for it. We dont have the luxury of resting players. Unfortunately we are playing the toughest team at home outside of Sydney.

Fingers crossed and GO GO GO GO !!!!!!!!

There’s risk and then there’s stupidity.

Where has it been stated that Charlie's injury is a 2-3 month injury?

As long as it's been signed off by Andrew Russell I guess I'm OK with Doc playing :?

People are just saying they think that's how long it takes to be fully recovered. Not just able to manage through a game with risk of reoccurance.

I do not want to see Doc or TDK in that team Saturday night

If...we beat Brisbane, happy for Voss to put Doc through a real match sim to see if he is ok

I get all the intangibles that Doc brings but for me, the risks outweigh the benefits

4 changes only this week, assuming Charlie is right to go

If Doc gets through training he plays.
Does everyone remember his first up form!
The bloke WOULD not be putting his hand up if he ain’t very close to 100%. It’s DOC.. he bleeds blue.

TDK won’t play.

Charlie McKay, gov, Williams and Doc.

We will miss owies and need Williams in forward half.

I dunno about young and kemp. Do you keep young in to play on hipwood. Two spuds may cancel each other out.

I have no inside word nor have I even read it as a rumour, but I do wonder if this talk about Doc might be because he’s going to pull the pin.

3 knee recos, 2 cancer battles….maybe his body has had enough.

Blues radio back for this match. Great news . I wont have to watch the coverage on mute to avoid Luke Darcy and Co.

What are the chances of naming Doc as the sub.
If we’re in the game at 3/4 time, imagine the boost if Doc runs on to the park?
If we’re out of it, keep him off (or just bring him on to feel it once before hitting pre-season with gusto)?

What happens if we get an injury in Q1 & doc has to play the whole game?
