Wow.

Not mad at Ollie playing. Nor Boyd for that matter, but just a bit worried that he hasn't played in a while.

Cuningham or Kennedy sub?

I suspect they think Holland will be able to do the job on Fletcher allowing Doc to do more down back.

hollands is the only one who's stiff.

Owies hasn't been pursuing and tackling. i heard he's been having a back and hammy issue too. so that has maybe limited his mobility

mots is a much better choice for brisbane. he can and will generate goals, and we will need to kick a score.

   Wow. That blew my theory out the window. :yikes: In Vossy I trust.

That is a huge amount of faith in Boyd.

Motlop over Owies is one I would love to hear about. I just looked at their season stats and they are neck and neck with Motts a fraction ahead in most. Mots probably has the X factor over Owies.

Kemp vs Marchy. If Marchy can hold his marks, then I give him the nod. If he treats it like soap again.............that's another story.

Congrats to Hollands. Massive vote of confidence for him. Well done young man.

23rd out of Kemp and Cunners (His leg speed might get him the nod)...................maybe, could be, don't know.

Go Blues.

It’s the ball use coming out of the back half that we need from Boyd. He is a good kick and we can’t afford to turn the ball over the number of times we did against the Dees.

I think we need Harry to make sure Harris Andrews can’t zone off and intercept. He needs to play like a CHF. The problem with that is that they won’t mind Harry getting the ball on the wings and Andrews will peel back and zone off.

Don’t mind the aggressive and proactive nature of our changes. A few boys are extremely stiff to miss out.
Can understand taking out a tall defender for a small defender. Brisbane only have Daniher and Hipwood as key forwards. They’ve overlooked Gunston. The smalls are the worry - Cameron, Bailey, McCarthy and Rayner as a mid sizer.
Payne out also helps.

Owies was very poor last week imho. His skills were subpar. Butchered quite a few golden chances going forward.

motlop generates goals better than owies, and tackles more ... owies probably does the team things better and provides structure.

but we're going with the chaos ball, asking charlie to make it a contest and then we swarm the area and lock the ball in. the more we do that, the less it's in their forwardline the bigger our chance imo

I get a feeling Docherty will not play. The inclusion of Holland's for me is a clue.

Not overly excited about Harry. An injury period coupled with underwhelming performances doesn't give me confidence. I would prefer Jack who has the ability to get extra out of himself. I hope I AM WRONG.

Yep. I like the changes other than Hollands. He's a good runner but I'm unsure of his role. Does he come in and play wing with Doc pushing forward because Doc's a bit sore? Or does Hollands play forward? We've dropped 3 forwards from last week so you'd think one of them will have to push into our front 6.
Either way I'd prefer our forward line be more settled than that. I'm not a fan of playing players in different roles just to keep them in the 22. If Doc is fit to play wing, leave Ollie out and bring a forward back in. If Doc isn't fit, leave him out and bring a forward back in.
Other than that, I like the side.

i look at it like this

owies / kemp at times arent the best users of the balls. they both made some howlers against the dees, we cant afford that against the lions. I like owies in front of goals, but some of his field kicking (and kemps) can be a concern.

Boyd (a better ball user) for Kemp makes sense considering who we are playing. Hope he has the tank for it after missing a few.

Cunners is probably a little bit in the same boat as Owies /Kemp ... not in great form, couple of turnovers, so i would probably have Kennedy as sub for abit of versatility. Slower than cunningham, but probably abit more reliable .. but gee that is tough on cunners.

Cunners / Owies / Kemp all very stiff though and havent done much wrong.

Don't mind it as I trust the experts.

Hopefully Kennedy is sub, I think people forget how good he can be.

Wow, Owies & Kemp are entitled to be disappointed.

Our backline has been outstanding so to change the mix by essentially dropping Kemp for Boyd (who has played only 8 games for the season and 0 since mid-July) is particularly ballsy.

Yeah, I've gone hard here before that I thought he should be in but, you know.

However, WTF has Kemp done wrong?

I'm a massive fan (and he might come into the side yet), but he wasn't good last week. It was a droppable performance.

Good selections. I thought Smith almost took the game away from us last week. Kemp lost body contact often. He is stiff though because he has had a solid 3 months
Boyd will give us run and speed off half back. Doubt he gets Charlie. He will get Zac Bailey and try to run off him.
Motlop over Owies I'm happy with. Owies doesn't crumb goals and is slow.
