Mick wouldn't stay on as mentor.
He would want to distance himself. Just as they distanced themselves from him in his record breaking game.
What I bet you will see is Dr edelsten in the background of every photo shot and media thing of our board...
He's going to be the new Alfred Hitchcock.
Or the new Jeff's hook... Find the crook
He's going to love all this Carlton attention for too long we have been media irrelevant

don't think the club has the money to pay him out... don't think they can afford to get rid of him..

lets see what happens..

Micks salary is already in the budget. Nothing additional there (nor with any other loyal assistant who walks with him). The only additional cost would be any additional salary to Laidley to step up from assistant to senior coach.

He might be 100% accurate in everything he said this morning, but he has to be out of the club today for trashing the board and Trigg.

i cannot imagine anyone being worse.

Imagine Jack, all over again. It will be his way or the highway, and he is a leader only in chest-puffing and rhetoric, not in creative ideas and disruptive technology.

He is a cartoon version of his father just waiting to happen.

They couldn't find the money earlier in the year and asked for an advance.. Of course they won't have a hundred thousand to pay now....
It's not like they have had a spike in cash flow...
This looks pretty catastrophic having to pay out Mick right now.

Yeah I forgot to add, the phasing of the payout(s) might hurt, but not thee amount.

What are these billionaires on the board for if not to help out the club with short term spikes like this and recoup the money later in the season? This is the one time they can bring their unique skill set-deep pockets- to the club for its benefit. If they can't sort this out, there truly is no reason for them to be at the club.

Not sure if Synners understands cash advances versus loans...

They all look second rate in the media spotlight right now, I just don't want hasty decisions, and neither do you.

I understand both. Cash advance comes because you don't have money.. Then you don't get it later.. Because you already received it... But if you didn't have it in the account last year and you're not getting it later on the year this year.. EBay did you do this year as compared to last year to not need it later on? I don't think you understand cash flow
Yes I know they have shed staff.. But are we going forward with a skeleton staff?

in the budget doesn't mean its in the bank. budget for money coming in and money going out and with the gate receipts being crap I would say more money going out than coming in...

I'm sure we can find the cash

Someone with deep pockets will be happy to pay to see Mick off, I'm sure.

As long as the AFL approves the football department spending cap exemption

he did not say it was TE.

a rival ticket is the only sane thing that's been talked about.

So they had two board meetings in two days?
Anybody can see Mick wanted out.. That's the whole point of what he said the other night when he went " off message " but the board was too stupid to understand.. Fearing the fall out
