Wasn't he injured as well during the pre-season? Thought there were more errors coming from Scotland last year and his elite kicking is a over stated. He's just as bad as most of the others when the heat is on but he certainly puts his body on the line down back. Think he'll figure in the 1's later down the track, maybe as the sub.

At this stage I'd prefer to see Buckley cement himself in the BP with Tuohy (though down on form) and Docherty off the HBF's, however the line-up is very inexperienced which the MC may not like in the back half. That would then leave a host of of running players like Walker, Thomas, Yarran, Everitt, Gibbs, Lucas, Menzel, Simpson to rotate through the wing/fwd line and back as required.

but..it seems MM has been into a board meeting to tell them howmuch our team sucks, and how disappointed he is with the recruiting.
I'd translate that as..
yeah, I told you what you wanted to hear so you'd hire me.
I also thought I was good enough to turn around any team.
I now know I'm not, and I'm gonna blame everyone but myself.

Carlton midfielder Brock McLean has been dropped, a week after failing to attend an AFL three-quarter-time huddle when subbed out of the game.
McLean had told the Blues he wasn't sure if he was allowed back onto the field of play during the clash with Richmond at the MCG on March 27.
Carlton coach Mick Malthouse said 143-game veteran McLean's only sin was not asking an official to clarify the rule.
But the Blues' mentor made his frustrations clear earlier this week.
"We would have liked him, as a leader, on the ground," Malthouse said.
"We've taken issue with it and we're not going to hide it.
"He came up with the reasoning and we have to accept that."
