Derm's written an article in the little paper today on Tyrone Vickery and how he needs to step up, so expect a lazy 5 goals and 11 marks from him tonight then.

Bets are now officially closed for this week's Moran.

I will bet my plums, we will have a 17-point lead going into the 4th quarter, and we will get dusted by 6 goals.

Murphy will tear his groin, Simpson will get knocked out and Hampson will run the orbital sander over us.

This will lead to much despair on the TC forums, forcing a necessary name change to the Talking Geelong forums where our gold sponsored athlete will be Cameron Ling's sideline report.

Is it too early to drink?

Given the conditions, do we drop a tall and bring Cachia in?

Not sure where Cachia fits in, but this is a good idea. Perhaps Robbo to drop Vickery before the game starts?

Wet weather?
Then Hampson is guaranteed to reel in 10 marks for the night. Moran!

Gold Coast and Gabba at night is like a wet weather game because of the heavy dew at the ground. Hammer was amongst the best for the Tigers on the Gold Coast.

Stevo tweeting he is hearing Kreuz has foot issues still and would benefit from a rest. If the rest doesn't help he will need more surgery.

Wet or dry, we shouldn't play him tonight. Not only will it probably hinder our chances of winning, but it might cause further long term damage to his foot.

Leadership is the worry for me. Thought it was highlighted against PA, again.

Who will step up? Who has the personality and mongrel to lift us when things aren't going well?

Major issue IMHO.

No Judd, Walker, Betts or NICK DUIGAN from the final.

Hopefully someone makes a name for themselves tonight.

Blues by 56. Tigers to add some respectability to their score in the last qtr with some junk time goals. 8 for Waite.

Hope you're right Doc, but I reckon we'll struggle to get 10 goals out of our entire side.

Obviously I hope I'm wrong, but I see it being a low scoring arm wrestle for 3 quarters, then the Tigers shake the monkey off the back in the last and kick away to a 6 goal win.

Too many of our good players are sore or underdone. We aren't a strong enough team to win games against decent sides in those circumstances.

If we can avoid any more injuries to key players, I reckon we'll be better in the 2nd half of the year when the likes of Hendo, Thomas, Kreuzer, Judd, Carrazzo, Tex & Yarran build up match fitness. But don't be surprised if Mick & the club go under the blowtorch in the early part of the season.

Judd had a good 3rd quarter, but I reckon his impact on that game has been a bit overrated. I reckon Gibbs, Warnock & Waite were our most important players in that win. All playing tonight.

Yeah I can't see us winning it. What's worse, I can't see it being at all close either.

Overrated??? He flicked the switch

He stepped up as a leader and everyone followed. Who in our team tonight can lead?

There are going to be some sorry people on here tonight.
