Very interesting positioned. I feel if we can get space will can break it open and if Geelong can control tempo they will win.

Geelong certainly aren't a top 4 side anymore.

Like the games of Ellard, Collins, Watson, Bootsma and Henderson fwd. amazing what happens when you give players a chance.

Mclean is one of the top possie getters, although he faded a bit that quarter.

Geelong's ability to go from plan A to B and back again was obvious that quarter. Brisbane used to do it in their heyday and it's something we have to learn. Our helter-skelter plan doesn't work all the time (obvious) but we persist with it against the odds.

Hendo chf please!!!!! Look so much better with him there!

Atleast the boys are having a crack.

We got em if we want it bad enough

His time in defence really made him feel like he belonged at this level. Confidence can do wonders. Hopefully all Watson needs too.

I don't post too often (prefer to read the threads and posts) McLean seems to be playing well, amazing what can happen when he is given a few games in a row.

All this talk about Geelongs #44 at half time, the same could be said about our #44 who is out with injury.

TBH.....I think they're doing better than I thought they would.....a bit closer to their early season form....but only a bit closer at this stage.

Bootsma and Watson are a plus......works in progress....Armfield is a plus; as is Ellard.....not names like Bartel and Stevie J; but on the way.

It might take the commentators a few minutes to figure out the "holding the ball" interpretation is a direct response to the talk about rolling mauls or "mucks" as they want to call them.

Umps have been worded up, keep the game moving.

How so? You dont think Motlop or Hunt went over the mark?

Looked pretty clear to me...

Very technical but they at least been consistently technical on all decisions so far....

Technical schmechnical.

Both 50's were there. No 2 ways about it!

How is it very technical? Both clearly over the mark....Hunt was 100% a 50m penalty...you couldn't possibly argue otherwise.

Not arguing it....if it gives us a goal great....but umps lack consistency from week to week which confuses everyone....that's why to me they are inconsequential....it'll all even itself out in the end....I'll bet the cats get a fifty or two in the second half to balance things out....

Agree.

Not sure why you had to state they 'gifted' us goals though.

So if a player runs across the mark you want them to just call play on?

May as well eliminate marking from the game.

The only real response to that should have been a swift uppercut to the jatz crackers, not to mention a bit of push and shove from Hammer, who saw the whole thing but stood back waiting for something to happen.
