club are you really trying to tell us that with a few players out. we are rubbish?

they are not all front line players out!some are unproven or average!

Murphy played games and was not playing to a level needed!

people said the pre season didn't indicate Jack!

what's wrong?

Yep we have no depth. In the perfect world we would have players drafted in the two years before last ready to step in.
Its not the case. Our best team is pretty good. It falls away when we lose 6 or 7 of our better players.
Take Murphy out and the next tagger goes to Simpson who has no experience playing against taggers. We lose twice with that one.
Like it or not we are a far better team with Waite in the side. Sadly that is rare and probably a big mistake signing him to a long contract VL or not.
Our best backman Henda would help. He could even go forward to at least provide a target.
Laidler is solid.
Kreuzer fully fit is dynamic only it looks like we wont see much of that this year.

You have to admit that we would be a little bit better with them in the side........ at least on paper..... just a little bit. :yikes:

As it stands now our 22 is rubbish. Wont stand a chance against the Cats.

I am looking for effort. Strangely i am attracted to watching Carlton when they are in this state. Should be interesting.

you love a good soapy Synbad.

Those in charge have to the end of the season.

You once said that Sticks should do what Eddie would do and complain to the AFL about the umpires.
Is that the sort of leadership you want at the club?
Is that what you call leadership?
Do you think that would be a good example to the players and that sort of leadership is what you want to filter down through the ranks?
Is that the sort of cockroach killer you have in mind?

I think we have different ideas.

Talking about tactics is more my go even though i am a mug.

This other stuff is just a laugh. I do like the idea of us fighting our way out of a hole rather that giving up and starting again just now.

Years end if we fail we make changes. Noone can argue those in top roles and players alike were not given a chance.

The swap up doesnt have to be nasty either. Everyone just be realistic and get it done.

fighting it out?

you just need a different view on where the players are at.. mentally and preparation wise.

won't happen whilst we continue on with the same players!

they need to be freshened up now!

rats and his lack of imagination will do too much damage!

someone needs to step in and show them some light.

Im with Judd. All in it together. Cant throw the team ethos out the window when the going gets tough.
That sort of quitting sticks to your bones and you will never shake it as a player and take a long time to shake it as community.

Once a quitter always a quitter. Capitulation is in Carltons DNA. Letting it have its way again will only have us chasing our tails again and again.

That's how it goes in my world.

Show some fight Blues !!

All in it together.

Surely everyone would like to see a bit of fight even if it amounts to nothing.

As it stands a new coach will come in. The team will fire up for a month then have a bad game or two and capitulate. Rumours will go around saying they dont like the coach.
The usual suspects on this site will go after the new coach after a loss or two and the whole thing will start again.

It sounds like the players are taking responsibility which is good even if some on here believe the problems lay elsewhere. Shows a bit of heart i feel.

That is the question.

Those who are not up for the fight need to be weeded out.

Bad coaching and footy admin for not finding them by now.

If the playing group get a whiff of confidence from one or two desperate acts or a brilliant goal.. their confidence will sky rocket..confidence is a beautiful thing and if they get that whiff of confidence in game Geelong will lose.

Click the fight switch ? I hope so.

I dont think we will win though. Their 22 players are far better than the 22 we will put out. As Synbad has been pointing out over the years the cats have AA players all through their list. Bartel, Selwood, Scarlett, Enright, Kelly, CHapman and then they have a fantasic list of players the next rung down who have premiership medals. Those blokes will be far too good for our team of Judd, some OK players and a dozen reserve players.

I just hope we see an attitude adjustment in our players and they play with some fight and nor just whimper off when it all gets a little tough.
