We may play Jamo and Bower forward and let Laidler take Bellchambers and Ryder. ?????
Will be ever give Laidler an easier duty than to mark the oppositions tallest forwards?

Still have to shake my head we got this guy so cheap, and to think he's only 22.

Pretty sure he's taller, or just as tall, as Crameri and he did play on Dawes last week.

McLean could be a good option in this game. If Hocking shadows Judd out of it like the elimination final, send him forward and McLean into the centre to go clearance mad.

No disrespect to Hocking, he's a good tagger and indeed, a good midfielder.

However - Judd is at a completely different level now than what he was at the end of last year. I don't think Judd will be 'shadowed out' by anyone.

Agree, Wellingham has held Judd too, but he was destroyed last week.

I have Carlton by 11 goals or more @ 4.00

Hopefully I'm not getting ahead of myself.

Jobe's going to be puking more than Powerade this week. He's got four opposition players to match up on while his team mates run around like headless chooks.

A good idea to make sure Armfield's knee is 100% - good luck to Brock

Lucas a bigger chance to start the game now, or do we leave the defence to Duigan, Tuohy, Jamison, Bower & Laidler and throw Yarran into the middle or a high HF role?

Armfield was a beast last week, his speed, desperation and hardness at the contest will be missed this week. Poor field kick, but defensively and in one on one contests a terror.
Was at his best against collingwood.

Interesting substituting our quickest player for our slowest, Carlton's biggest strength is speed across the ground so this match will help with the curnow v McLean question, can we play them both!

Laidler and Craperi are the same height, 189cm. Should be a good duel.

Good on Mclean earned his spot. Hope he starts on the field. Don't think he is a good sub player because he is a grinder not an impact player.

The coaching staff have been working with McLean over the pre season to try and develop him into a run with player.

My understanding is that this was an idea of Paul Williams with him to match up against someone like Watson and limit his effectiveness around the ground whilst still being able to use his size around the stoppages.

Be interesting to see if he is used that way.
