It gets thwarted pretty quickly when the official stats are released, and the media wave the numbers about.

Yeah, but does that really matter? I mean, I know it does in some ways, but...

Isn't just as much about saying, "look our club is going gangbusters because we have eleventy billion members"?

There is a membership called "Home membership" for supporters who cannot get to games. As an interstate member, I considered this option but decided on the slightly more expensive Interstate 5 game membership, although I am not likely to get to more that two or three games. The Home membership was abot $40 cheaper. If it doesn't count in the tally then I am even more pleased with my choice as I pay for a number of members of the family - even the almost ex-bomber wife of mine :oops:

Richmond and Essendon* do each year which is why their numbers are somewhat inflated. The AFL releases the official figures mid year so watch these 2 clubs have their numbers downgraded.

Weird numbers today. In fact the smallest addition that they have ever posted. Yesterday was 43, 649 and today 43, 691.

If that is the case, how come the mods have posted yesterdays figures the same as I did? 43,649! Maybe Humpy just follows the figures I post, but I am sure they would be checking them off the I Am Carlton site. Mods on the other 3 sites that I post on have done the same. As I said, Weird!

Nice to see you Jimbo! I am glad you do, because I take them straight off the I Am Carlton site. I stand by the post of yesterday, because I checked with the other sites that I post on and the figures are the same.

Righto guys, I have adjusted the dates on the weekly graph to reflect our current tally as opposed to the same date last year and the final tally last year. Great effort so far, with 9 weeks still to go!
