as soon as the tribunal made its decision an appeal was inevitable, we have nothing to lose now so to not appeal would have been dumber than taking it to the tribunal in the first place

At least it is extending our season a bit. That's good for sponsors.

Who really thinks that act was worth 3 WEEKS?

The act was dumb, stupid, pathetic all of that but,

3 weeks is a disgrace. No injury to the victim, no reaction form the victim.

What is the game coming to. 1 week would have sufficed. That behaviour should not be in our game but 3 weeks is laughable. And I'm not sooking just because it's Judd .

Maxwell broke someones jaw and got donuts.. How does that work?

And it was Juddy's 26th birthday on Tuesday. Great way to celebrate the day...

Exactly was i was going to say, had he simply said that the stuff at the airport was a joke but plead guilty to reckless rather than intentional (which gave him the most points) then he could have gotten a discount for pleading guilty and got one week.
Are we the dumbest football team going round?

all we have to do now is find lots of vision of players with their hands on other players faces. None of these have incurred a supension, we should argue that there is no difference between these incidents and Judd's.

If they reject our appeal...take it through the courts. The media and public have decided this issue based on the name of the player rather than the incident. But, they were left with little option after Judd opened his mouth at Tulla.

Exactly, the whole thing is a load of bullshit.....

Regardless of the dumb act itself or the silly things Judd said to the media, there is no way in hell that is worth 3 weeks, and that's what he got - forget about the guilty plee, 2 week thing - he got 3 weeks!! For touching someone's face innappropriately FFS.... Should have been offered 2 or 1 and he would have pleaded guilty, then it's all over.

You can clear-as-day punch someone in the face and get less than 3 weeks, it's just so stupid. This match review panel is a crock of shit, it does not take into account the particulars of a situation, the only thing it offers is that players clearly know what to expect from it's findings; the worst penalty available.

The fact is he did something stupid, no harm was caused to anyone, nor was there a complaint from the other player and he should have been either reprimanded or given 1 week. The way I see it is that he had no option but to take it to the tribunal and then appeal, because it's just such a stupid penalty for such a nothing event.

Has the world gone mad?? :screwy:

At least it will give the opposition supporters something to call Juddy other than "Baldy".

Yeah.....and even that doesn't make me feel any better about the whole ballsup.....it was so avoidable.

Why such negativity!!!

Jud was silly enough to poke around the face of Rischitelli, he was caught (doing what we don't know!!!) I guess trying to cause some discomfort to him, so he may release Grigg from a vise like grip across his head.

Rischitelli wasn't hurt, nor did he show discomfort, and yet Jud is served a minimum of two weeks (once the discounts are applied).

Regardless of who the infringing player is, this is an absolute disgrace!! Too right we sent the issue to the tribunal, and too right proceed to the appeal process.

There are players who break check bones and or through punches which draw blood, and are not even served a week. The inbalance so great, it warrants this attention to realign the tribunals judgement.

For the record, Jud should be suspended for a week, regardless of his good record!! And he should clearly show remorse for carrying out a stupid act.

More than that is a joke!!!!

Kezza that is why they challenged it to get it downgraded. You cant just plead guilty to a lesser charge, you have to go to the tribunal and have them downgraded, just like the Scum did with McVeigh and Lovett-Murray.

Wasn't that the incident that caused them to change the rules?

He would get weeks now, I think.

Tribunal is, these days, consistently harsh. They may also have felt that they needed to send a message, due to what happened last time (Brown).

Doesn't mean you get to uphold a mis-graded charge; if they felt the grading system was insufficient in these circumstances, they could have forwarded him straight to the tribunal.

Its just shizen he should've just copped it on the chin and took the 2 weeks even if it was a bullshit charge. Now we dont have him for 3

Bottom line is that he shouldnt have gone near the face at all but why doesnt it get mentioned that riskatelly had grigg in a headlock.

3 weeks is a bit harsh i think probably could've lived with 1, maybe even 2, but 3 FFS :banghead:
