I dont see anywhere where Kouta, by his own admissions or by articles written on the matter, has said the ONLY AND SOLE destructive influence on the club was Pagan... no person would be so stupid and ignorant... I mean its obvious it was a combination of things, and I think any real Carlton person would have to admit that, and Kouta being a real Carlton person would fall into this category.

Kouta was merely emphasizing that Pagan influence was negative (which it was), probably more so than what people like to accept (especially outsiders)... considering you have people like Glenn Archer and Wayne Carey come out on numerous occasions blasting Carlton players for not supporting Pagan (during the time he was there) and it was those same people who BLAME EVERYTHING on the Carlton hierachy for lack of support yet fail to put anything on Pagan, who we can all agree on had a major influence on our failings. Kouta is merely squaring up the ledger.

Kouta is alright i tells ya. The negativity on this thread is just snowballing out of control. The only thing you could possibly be angry at him for is accepting a large contract that was offered to him when he was twice as good as the next best player in the league and not offering it back the moment he did his knee like say a Hird or a Buckley or a Voss would have.......yeah right.

Sure it was cool to bag club legends back in 2006. Even cooler was to tell those sticking up for the legends that they are hero worshipers. These days its not so cool. Infact it just reeks of the negativity that divided our club for the last five years.

Times have changed. The club has moved on. Kouta has retired. I am happy about that because it is time for those young kids that worshiped kouta to take the club forward. Blokes like Setanta (or do some still believe Setanta didnt care too much for Kouta) and Simpson and Walker.

Let him write a book. Let him promote it just like Punter, Warne, Norman, Woods, Best ...ets have all done before him. Lets not judge him on his ACA performance before he has been on the show.......what is wrong with you people.
