Surely this is just rumour, inuendo and "whispers"!

From everything I've read of yours in the last few days I thought that you placed yourself above this.

Guesswork isn't labelled guesswork often enough around here.

I'm surprised three quarters of our list haven't demanded to be traded because they hate Pagan so much, instead guys are re-signing with the club, odd. I don't think some of you realise how tough footy clubs are. If we start winning games again the sheep will be bleating how great Pagan is and to extend his contract. I'm pleased common sense has prevailed in this case.

I think that's the problem CG - who can replace the Board? Will anyone even try? And that has been my point for a while now. Forget the Pagan stuff, the list stuff.... Address the real issue here. Is this the Board to reivigorate this stale old club?

Unfortunately if you answer no as I do then you ask, so who is there?

And at the moment the silence hurts.

Not really, then I wouldn't have a real problem with Synners, Danny.

I just want some discussion, not grandstanding.

For the most part, these rumours are fine, and are welcomed. Guesswork is perfectly acceptable too, but to use it as a tool to whip people up into a frenzy is silly and no better than what the USC probably consider doing 2 or 3 times a week.

Especially when the information (in this case) doesn't look to be credible.

I might be off to a 50th in a few weeks where I can get some real answers. And to borrow from BV a bit: I've already made myself quite clear in the past about where I'll be going for the answers.

;)

James, you still can't make up your friggin' mind. You said 3 years ago you wanted Pagan out. Now you want him in.

Typical nonsense from you.

I'd suggest if you want some discussion then you are going about it the wrong way.

The club isn't dying. The club is rebuilding.

We're just going through growing pains...and unfortunately the pains that are growing are coming from the administration.

When will it all settle down?

My guess is after the cull, trade and draft. Blue Skies.

We'll get through this shit, despite that it's been going on for what seems to be an eternity, and if we go through this for one more year, it will still feel like an eternity, but we'll get through it. Saints did, Tigers did, Hawks did, Demons did, Doggies did, Kangas did, Lions did, Magpies did, Freo did....you see it happens to nearly every team...it's just our turn to work our way through the shit, and hopefully learn from our mistakes (and never let it happen again).

As long as we (the supporters) keep the bastards honest and present the issues, the admin haven't got it all their way.

Well Mitchell hasn't been given his marching orders, so maybe with SOS not part of the deal we can have another backflip, piss off Pagan, and put Barry in the box.

I'm telling you all, Marc Murphy as Captain and Assistant Coach. We may as well start grooming him as Captain/Coach now.

Or someone like Cresswell or Hudson.

I remember reading an article a few years back which was all about Jimmy Bartel. He said he owed his career turn around to Cresswell.

ATM...
...our memberships have turned to shit
...our sponsorships have turned to shit
...our functions (and their patronage) have turned to shit

but our ground is being developed as an elite sports training facility, and our new homeground has introduced Carlton to the new millenium, and it seems to be working for us, as attendences to home games have increased (unless we start to get the same numbers as we did at Princes Park).

OK, so we're in the shit atm, in the middle of a shit period in our history. But it's only a moment in time when you take into account that it's a 5 year sentence in a 150 year history.

We'll get through it. If we can start the season (not only the NAB cup) with a few wins in the first 5 rounds, followed by another couple, but with a heartening and competitive effort throughout, that'll be the message supporters will need to hear. I expect memberships to go down again next year, but from 2008 this will change direction...as the shit settles and our kids grow up and show their potential having grown into men.

Do you think we can convince the Cats to take Pagan citing the fact he turned around Fev's career?

The bloke to feel sorry for is Mitchell. He didn't start this and he didn't knife Pagan, he simply was the man earmarked for the job and was interviewed yesterday. It's a pity, but he might be the first casualty.
