Lachie Henderson
Chris Yarran

Because those guys are not as pottable anymore, new targets have to be found. Step up, Lucas and Watson, it's your turn.

Next year it'll probably be Menzel after his second game in which he didn't put on a 3 vote performance. Rubbish, should never have drafted him.

Evidence ? Or do you enjoy touching it ?
I'll cop my wack for things I have said not find you have said. Lol

Funniest post ever in a very Percy way.
Finished with it ?

No photos it never happened.
Looking forward to you finding evidence of me saying those guys make it.

matter of fact that is so far off the truth you are even licking your own nipples there as well.

Carrazzo I take ownership of that one. But at least I didn't say our season collapsed when he was out.
Plus he is a good ordinary footballer and nothing more.
Disposal is shocking!

PS Lucas is not finals material. You get found out in finals when you play like him.
No where to run. No room to run.
It's where the guys that have bad disposal like carrots and Lucas get found out.
Top pick on a guy that can't ki

ck? You would not read abput it!
Double that with a guy that doesn't commit himself.... No flower chance in hell!

Anyway you get back to the shyte you spin.

But don't lie about what I've said. Lying is not nice!

Looking forward to Watson And Lucas Turning Into Stars For Us

He plays meek, like he does not belong. Needs to get some agro about him. Tuohy was playing within himself until his confrontation with Selwood a few weeks ago. He got angry and then has been back to his best since.

I reckon Lucas needs a moment like that in the 2nd half of this year and he might just go ahead leaps and bound. Right now he needs to advance with his skills to the point that he feels he belongs in the AFL.

Dare I say it, a bit of the Jordan Russell's about him

At what level?

question then needs to be asked again.....

what is watto???

I remember Mick saying that he usually sits down with players and tries to pick a successful player with similar charactersitics that that person can try and emulate. I would put watto down as being similar to Ben Rutten - if watto can get himself as good as rutten, i think we would all take it and run at this stage. Watto played some really good games last year - and he is in the top 5 creative kicks on our list imo. But imo just needs one or two more seasons to get the intensity required for afl.

I dont think you can link watto to any successful forwards going around - you might say travis cloke - but apart from both being left footers and having blonde hair - thats where the comparison ends doesnt it?

yeah so anyway, I ended up having to skip the last few pages. My thoughts on the game;

McLean - Beast, he's gone up a level again from 2nd half of 2012. Not sure that he will ever warrant pick 11, but I think it's moving down the rankings of 'worst trade ever'.

Lucas - He is clearly improving and will not, nor should not be dropped. I have two criticisms of his game from the weekend 1) the ability and willingness to tackle, 2) He can kick a nice football, his major issue for mine is that he only kicks at one pace and one trajectory. Aside from the decision making before he uses it, he needs to start working very hard on punching his kicks through when he needs to. But for mine to say 'he can't kick' is inaccurate.

Warnock - terrific game will be hard to dislodge. Please please please football gods, give him a decent run.

Walker - Great move to put him back there, providing fantastic run. He'll start getting tagged soon, the way he is going.

Robbo - Beast mode was activated on Sunday. Keep it up.

Zach - great effort to get the confidence levels back up and attacked the contest with gusto. Obviously some settling in

Murph is rounding into form, Judd seems to be moving pretty freely, carrots was ok. Also, for those asking for Hendo to go forward, forget it. the stability and structure he and Jamo are providing down back are holding the group down there together, they are both rarely beaten in a marking contest, and the small backs are feeding off them. Yes, we have a problem in the forward line. Don't create two problems by trying to fix one. Right now the backline isn't a problem, but it will be if we bring int he likes of Watson. McArthy etc.

With Kreuzer, Waite and Ellard (for Curnow) in that team I think it's a handy, difficult unit to play. I would have thought Laidler as well, but obviously it isn't working with him so White gets the nod unless Laidler forces him out. Not sure where Menzel fits in but it will be good to have.

Plenty of good signs and lots to like. Even if we forget about the first quart we still won the next three, albeit only just. No Gibbs in the second half. Warnock coming into some good form. Midfield starting to gel and gameplan and structures starting to become more natural. Not sure we'll be 7-3 after ten but things are definitely better than they were at zip and three.

Anyhow, more than happy to take the four points.....................i feel that qquite a few players have shown improvement up until now.Not massive improvement, but just enough to make you think the side can move up the ladder.I agree Hammer and Rowe were ordinary but i am more than happy to persevere......................just a word of caution re. the Dees match. It is a danger game for mine as they always give us cheek. And in no way would i drop Hammer as the Dees have a very good ruckman in Jamar and a very good up and comer in Max Gawn who is 10 foot tall.Warnock and Hampson will have there work cut out.

PS. for those in the know does MM do a lot of one on one coaching ? reason i ask is that some of the improvers look as though they have had intense tuition..............i sense there is something just a tad differant about qquite a lot of our players and i just cant put a finger on it..............hell,even Murph in a short time appears to be showing more leadership.Got to admit i was a bit sceptical about Murph as a Captain but i got a gut fealing im gonna eat my words on that one.Hope so.Cant see MM putting a guy as captain that he didnt have faith in.

Not sure who's going to beat us in the next 5 rounds. Almost certain we'll go into every game as favourite. St kilda probably the biggest threat but we'd be a fairly short favourite I think. Waite will be a chance for that game too which will make us a MUCH better side. Port are going alright, but they've had a lot of easy games. Melbourne Brisbane and GWS should all be absolute monties.

I'll be disappointed if we drop any of them. Extremely disappointed if we drop 2. But I think we can expect much better consistency under MM, and are a lot less likely to produce crap like the port and GC games last year.

I think we really need to win all of these because we have Essendon*, hawthorn, Sydney away and collingwood after and that's another really tough run. Mind you Essendon* will probably be fielding their 2s by then. LOL

There is no way that we can be confident about any game, after what happened to us last year ie Gold Coast loss

Can't believe the confidence in here suggesting we will win the next 5.

Too early for such confidence..

If the players think there are easy games then we we will fall into a hole.

Yep, one week at a time.

When did we last win 4 games in a row? Let alone 3.

I can get ahead of myself if I want. I'm not a player, my opinion doesn't affect the teams performance.

I do believe we will a much more consistent team under malthouse. I don't think out best will be quite as brilliant, but I think the gap between our best and worse will close significantly. I think it will be much less likely for us to lose games like the Gold Coast one this year.

As I said, IMO melbourne Brisbane and GWS are in the bag. St kilda and port we will be better than a 50/50 chance in. We should win 5/5. 4/5 would be acceptable as a minimum. Any less and I fear where we will be after Essendon*, hawthorn, Sydney and collingwood

In this thread you can Lucas...and in other threads you can Ratten and the club for poor development. Confused.

Ahhh Lucas bashing now
Lucas has barely played a season of football. 18 games or so FFS. Judge lucas after 50-100 games.

I'm guessing the same people bagging brock are the same people bagging lucas now.

Hahaha. Don't forget hats!

I'm fairly sure the number of players wearing a hat was a KPI in preseasons under ratts

I was so impressed with Warnock. He was fantastic with his ruck taps and his work without the ball, shepherding well off the ball every time he had a opponent near he blocked. Was great at the 1% and work around the game.

For mine, Warnock is our best true ruckman, will be interesting to see what CFC do when Kruzer is back. I reckon they will play both if Warnock keeps playing this way and Kruzer will rest forward half the game. Kruzer isnt great at tapping, who knows where it goes if he gets his hands on it.

We have literally been smashed in the midfield against Richmond, Pies and Geelong. All starts in the ruck. 2/2 with Robbie.

Speaking of Ratts.

Apart from Walker and Yazz changing ends and Murph getting 7 tackles we didn't look a whole lot different in set up.
3 taggers, bombs on the heads of the tall forwards with the little guys doing the damage, Gibbs sweeping. Judd isn't the only ball getter now so I suppose that's a change.

I thought our defensive efforts in contested ball were much better against the WCE but we seemed to be in a bit of a gamble against the Crows.

Hard to tell on telly, but I'm hoping we are a bit tougher against top 4 contenders.
