I reckon that was Judd's dad on the grassy knoll.

And his grandad always used to tell captains that ships shouldn't slow down just because there were icebergs around.

(I've past the point of being sensible about this now)

The penalty will be severe as the AFL will "want to stamp this out of the game" and "the player needs to be made an example off".

Very similar to our Salary Cap penalties back in 2002, where the AFL want us to made examples of and to stamp this sort of conduct out of the game - and where every other Salary Cap penalty applied to other clubs since has been "wet lettuce leaves" suppplied by Frank Costa's Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Company - gratis.

Very similar to the fines now handed out to players bumping into and handling umpires - where as I recall that 15 years ago a former dual Brownlow Medallist was made an example of with a 9 week penalty.

Never thought i would agree with Grant Thomas on anything. Good article.
I havent seen the Rioli incident, hopefully Carlton can use this in tonights hearing.
The picture on todays HUN does show that Judd didnt just go in and grab his arm and pull it up, he had hold of it before he went to ground.

Your right Doc, this is where we stand up and isolate ourselves from the media. We will always be targetted, always have been always will be. We must strongly defend our own. The media and other supporters will always be jealous of the CFC and would like nothing more but to see us on the bottom again. Mind you we are doing a fairly good job of doing that on our own. Time to close up shop. Stuff em.

Yep....the hysteria of over 3 pages in today's HS is reminiscent of the 911 attack on the Twin Towers.

And Robbo's assertion that Judd is ''The Dark Knight'' and is ''mysterious and eccentric''.......

The Grant Thomas article is a breath of fresh air.

...and Judd could argue that he knew the ball (the object footballers aspire to getting at all costs) was underneath the player, and he was trying to lift him by the arm to retrieve the item central to the game itself.

He was not totally aware to what extent (potential Rising Star award winner) Andrew Carrazzo's weight had restricted the movement of the norf player.

Case dismissed!

North sent him back on the ground. It was the incidental collision with Andy Collins that dislocated his shoulder. Either way, North Melbourne have a case to answer. What's the bet this doesn't even see the light of day.

Huh? I admit I haven't seen the North medical report but I'm sure I heard one of the Fox shows last night mention Adams' injury was existing. In any case, as much as I'm pissed at Judd for his actions, I think it will be hard for the AFL to rely too much on the injury to determine Judd's penalty for the facts that Doc has raised.

Andy McKay just said on The BluePrint they expected to know about 6.45pm. I think the tribunal sits from 5pm and there are 3 cases being heard tonight (Ziebell is contesting too....)

I'll be happy with 6 weeks or less, our season is a right off anyhow. I will be pi$$ed if it carries over to next year.

The other thing that will annoy me is if I hear Ratts use his suspension for a reason for our downfall and why we will struggle for the remaining games of the season.

If our inept rabble of a club fail to mention that the ball was still live, and Adams came back on the ground supposedly injured, I’ll......vomit.

Yeah if this has us on the back foot for opening round/s next season, I'll issue a fatwa. On someone.
