Essendon* have upgraded Dell'Olio off the rookie list. Think he may be making his debut against us this week.

I rate Jamo on the medium sized forwards actually. Without Hille, I'm not really that worried about their resting ruck. Let Bower take him if he plays, allow him to run off him as well.

Didn't mind what I saw from Dell'olio in the preseason, another small who can take a grab. Looks perfectly suited for Duigan.

Reliable source from BF suggesting that Brock is in for his first game of 2012. Perhaps Army might not get up

Either that or they're giving him a chance in curnows role. Not a bad thing. Good for him to get another while he's fit and in form. Won't be exposed for pace in this match as essendons midfield is fairly slow with the likes of Jobe and Stanton

I remember after Round 4 last year and all the talk about the Bummers being two men down. My old man went "they should be noting that Carlton were 3 men down as Hampson, Henderson and Collins all went missing!"

Thats very true. Those 3 were terrible that day. Things have certainly changed for 2 of them though.

From memory Carrots had one of his worst games I'd seen him play as well.

Laidler is definitely the right matchup for Crameri.
Hendo for Hurley and Jamo on the resting ruckman.

I'd swap Hendo and Jamo around there. Hurley seems to be able to get away from Hendo on the turn. Jamo goes better on him.

Good memory kp. In the final Hurley was on top of Hendo early before Jamo went onto him and shut him down. Id still like to see Hendo have another crack at him though.

Jamo has always had good closing speed

Pretty shit that we're now forced to wait for Ch 7 to show the teams.

That will not always be the case.
We do have posters that have the good oil well beforehand.

If McLean plays ... I still reckon it will be Lucas that misses out (unless Army is still a bit sore).

Being a Maryborough boy myself (well its been a long time) ... I reckon Crameri is the biggest danger in the Bummers forward line.

As long as we bring the same intensity and resolve to follow our game plan as we did against Collingwood (and dont get ahead of ourselves and play like millionaires - and I am looking at you Carrazzo) there is no way on earth that we will lose this game.

There IS a way they can beat us, and it's as simple as this....

I'm going to the game :yikes:

Curnow, Army and Lucas were all pretty good last week. One will be unlucky to miss out for Mclean.

Jamo or Hendo need to shut him down.

crameri is 186cm, Tuohy 187cm. I reckon Tuohy is in good form, strong enough body to play on him, but I'm not sure how he goes in a contested mark situation....?

Laidler will more than handle Crameri :smoking: Class act.

We may play Jamo and Bower forward and let Laidler take Bellchambers and Ryder. ?????
Will be ever give Laidler an easier duty than to mark the oppositions tallest forwards?

Still have to shake my head we got this guy so cheap, and to think he's only 22.

It's been said before that the one keeping McLean out is Judd as they play similiar roles, but obviously at different levels of awesomeness.

McLean could be a good option in this game. If Hocking shadows Judd out of it like the elimination final, send him forward and McLean into the centre to go clearance mad.

So, so right.

Take out that drawn game (where the Hird love in was making them play way above themselves), we have belted the bejeezus out of these flower lately. Some short memories around here, but not for those who witnessed the G final last year.

Carlton by 39 point plus, lock it in. $1.13 v $6.00 indicates that, too.
