It is just north of england but i want him in the team!! he isn't injured. I swear he has done something to upset the club. Dropped earlier in the year when playing well and now dropped last week and again this week...

wasn't he the player out at 7 in the morning with fev after the freo game on GC?

safe selections so to speak

fisher replaces wiggins
ohailpin replaces waite
houla replaces hadley
garlett replaces yarran

all trying to fill similar roles , not much dare or imagination there.

i think anderson is a victim of not wanting to play another kid in the team and not wanting to upset some sort of weird experienced/youth balance the MC seem to have in mind.

Only issue I can think of with Yarrans omission would be his fitness

Really hope the big Setant can be an influence. He's really had a crack in the bullants so wish him well.

So Joseph gets Kerr this week

He keeps getting those big Jobs

Hoops in to provide the in and under that Hadley was doing with bit more style and less grunt
Fisher the lead up forward to replace Wiggins with stickier hands but less physical
Garlett to not touch the ball like Yarren less skill more defense pressure
Ohalpin to do the job that Waite was doing - well what do I say

I dont think we have gained anything

About right, SB. Let's hope the attitude, game plan and team structure (one that might sustain us for the future) is somewhat "different". Lucky it's v West Coast.

Look forward to Grigga, Scotto and maybe Ando as ins for Lions game. After his heriocs there last year, Ando in at the Gabba is a good omen.

Id like to think Setanta can be allowed to play full back!

No chance, although that's by far his best position.

I'm really struggling to work out our attacking options this game.

If Carlos plays full back, then one of T-Bird or Austin need to be played forward or else we lose all mobility and lack the run on the bench. Jamo, T-Bird, Carlos, Austin and Bower too top heavy.

The other option is that we run Carlos and Hammer in the ruck against Cox, freeing Kreuzer up to play forward the whole game.

I'm liking the second option, Carlos could run with Cox around the ground and limit his impact.

Melvey - i appreciate the fact that you love Jordan Russell, but the simple fact is his dissposal is quite possibly the worst in th enetire leauge.

You cannot afford to carry a player like that forever.

He misses targets CONSTANTLY and cannot convert the most basic kick at goal.

Hell, he couldn't even hit Fev with a handball with him standing but two meters away from him. 5min later, he kicks it out on the full.

I DO watch Jordan Russell closely - cause i am utterly bemeaused as to how he keeps his spot in the team. I'm still waiting for somebody to tell me Who he 'Shut Down' in the Freo and Collingwood games. And who was he playing on in the Adelaide side and how well did he play?

But - he's as safe as houses. Good luck to him. God i hope he pulls his finger out though.

If Hadley had to go (which I'm not too sure he had to) why couldn't Ellard have taken his role?

I doubt Carlos has the smarts to run with Cox...Cox will destroy Setatas confidence.. in the ruck and around the ground.
We should have brought in Carlos to play full back... given Jamo a rest and brought in another runner... even Bannister.. freed up Russell or Joseph to run...

Big ground... needs runners...haps n heaps of runners...

Thats right were playing at Etihad.... (snip)

Still... we need runners.
We have too many talls...

Russell.

Un-fucking-believable.

This is truly an slur on the game today.

This would have to be the only game/club that would permit someone with nothing more than athletic attributes to compete at the highest level.

You wouldn't get a game in the EPL if you couldn't control the ball or pass with your left, yet this sh!t truck can play for my beloved Blues because he can record an above average stat in a beep test and does the "team thing", which means @#$%&! all if you can't kick, hit someone with a handball, kick a goal, shut down an opponent and last but not least demonstrate a basic understanding of the game, i.e. playing the whistle!!!

I wonder if he feels any embarrasment at all or if any of the other players snigger when the hear his name every Thursday.

I wonder how deflated the youngsters must feel after watching a game and knowing they certainly couln't do any worse than him.

And for all those that want to jump on me, I'll say it again, this is this reason why we had the misfortune to witness the worst Carlton side in over one hundred years.
