We are not a one man team and the game vs Richmond isnt the big deal a lot of people are making it out to be...its time to put to bed the no Fev No Carlton theory and win lose or draw vs Richmond its about making a statement that we are a disciplined club who wont tolerate screw ups by any player.
Its about getting the club right in every aspect and discipline off the field is a major part of the process...

If Fev is suspended then as Budzy suggested 'm looking forward to Hartlett, Edwards and co doing the business vs the Tigers, Judd getting three votes and I'd be making Fev earn his place in the team and if Hartlett and co do the job then Fev would be coming back via the Bullants if I was coaching...

If we are relying on Fev and Fev alone to get us over the line vs the Tigers then the whole preseason hype is just BS and we are as crap as we have ever been....if supporters think we cant beat last years bottom team coached by a man with the sword over his head waiting to drop without one player then you have been lying to yourself over summer suggesting we can make finals, we are on the way up..etc etc....

A guy at work was standing next to Fev at the casino at 5:30am.

What a long night he had.

Surely he can do that shit when he is in his mid 30's, until then, don't do it.

Great post Elwood,

But is what Fev is alleged to have done worth a suspension? If so, then fair enough, but personally I don't think it's worth a suspension. Discipline yes, but not a suspension.
regards

Did he say he was pissed. I'm sure he would have if that was the case

What an idiot. I mean, what kind of tool goes to Candy bar?

At least he realised the error of his ways and pissed on the place.

Pity he didn't burn that place and all of it's popped-collar metros down to the ground.

Seriously though, you're not a leader Fev. You should get some kind of fine and eviction from the Leadership group. You don't deserve it.

Praps Fev needs some reverse incentives:

Sit him down and say: Fev, you're the best FF in the comp and you now have a mid-field that can deliver it lace-out...

Your job is to think about the game and kick enough goals for us to win matches. So, you will kick six goal per match - no excuses... Anything less will result in $2000 per goal short of target going to charity from your pocket. Any goal above target gets $2000 back to you.

Suddenly, Fev might get to bed on time, quit The Footy Show, stop leaning again the goal post, stop backchatting umpires etc. He'd be too busy thinking about his on field performance and kicking enough goals for us to win matches.

Everybody wins...genius

Let's not get too high and mighty about it all. We've all done it. It's only really disgusting if he'd been eating asparagus.

My initial thought was that he should be suspended, but as everyone uses Johnson and Geelong as the example, I will too. Johnson was suspended for first offence, second offence (this year) he wasn't. Fev was suspended last year, maybe it just doesn't work for him. Fine him, give him a suspended sentence and make him attend alcohol counselling. Beats penalising his teammates, and thousands of supporters.

I think wake the team up at 4am. (fev would prabably be still awake,) to swim at Kerferd Road or climb some hill etc. But not Fev. let him sleep in. The way to make Fev feel shit is to make his teamates suffer while he doesnt

Some might suggest that being out on the piss all night making a goose of himself 4 days before Rnd.1 means he doesn't give a shit about his team mates :?:

Not according to some in here. Apparently he's just a bloke who should be able to do whatever the @#$%&! he wants because he's good at kicking a football between big sticks. How many "As long as he plays well, who cares?" lines have we seen in this thread alone?

Given he was suspended for having a dummy spit against Freo last year, then yeah, @#$%&! oath this is worth a suspension.

No individual is greater than the club.

If fev's just been suspended I take it as a message that we're not serious about winning every game. We are more interested in making statements and setting examples over winning. If Fatrp1ck keeps writing those venomous price fixing articles how long before the leadership group ousts Dick Pratt as well?

Maybe before we sign up another 10K members the club should announce that we are not fair dinkum this year, we are more interested in setting the scene, educating kids, setting examples and tackling social issues. They could also maybe speculate a future season when footy is going to take priority again so that the waverers can save their money and know when to jump back on.

If this suspension is true then I am woefully disappointed in the club. Clearly success takes a back seat to image and media hype. If we get belted by 10 goals on Thursday who in the media is going to write a glowing article on our courageous stand and brave example?? Answer nobody. There will be a picture of a dejected fev in the stands accompanied by more vitriol. Pictures instead will be all of tigers fans beaming with both of their teeth at the win and a tanned Terry droning on about how the media bagged him unfairly etc etc

The only positives I can see is that it plays to those short sighted folks who demand that heads roll and need to see punishment. They'll all happily forget Fev's last suspension and go away with a warm feeling that Fev's been taught a lesson and will definately pull his head in this time!! It sastisfys Vlad and the boys at docklands that we are good corporate citizens and it earns a bonus for the shrewd journo who broke the scoop. The only people that miss out are Carlton members and fans. We get to watch probably the only defence worse than ours avoid having to match up on the best FFwd going around. We instead will get to watch our champion FFwd sitting in the stands during every break in play.

Bottom line is that a rousing win would do much more to build momentum and fire up the kids than setting a disciplinary example of an incurable idiot. Mark down this post as a warning, suspension will do nothing to change Fevola. He might tow the line for a while but eventually he will be back on the news for something unsavoury.

Do you think Richmond would suspend Nathan Brown if CCTV caught him sneaking contraban pink T-Shirts and facial products out of a city tanning salon for sale on the black market??

Don, would you like your own personal standards to be scrutinised in public?

For example does your moral fibre accept something like using another poster's jokes and news on other forums without attribution?
