Did anyone see Hampson after half time, hope he hasn't injured himself. Looking at Rd.1 The Tigers will find it extremely difficult to match up on an athlete like him.

I thought I saw him in the third, but I have to say I wasn't looking for him.

And I also didn't see Pfeiffer out there.

Browne was playing and looked ok.

Jackson had a couple of poor moments in teh first but lifted.

Cloke looked ok as well - looking at him today I don't think we (ok.... I) realise how important he will be this year. Kreuzer and Hammer will be the goods, but they aren't big enough in their bodies to consistently win ruck contests. Clokey will be that big body to do some bustling.

Since when was the NAB Cup / NAB Challenge any indication of the year ahead?! Pfft

Still good to chalk a win up, though .. was the broadcast better than the Alien Nation one from the other night?

How did Carlos go today? I understand that he wouldn't have been a standout, but was he up to it in any capacity? How is he looking after dropping 10 kgs?

He looked really thin and didn't have a good time of it. Starting trying to shove Minson before the siren in front of the Social Club which was his highlight and got everyone going - they took him off for Bower halfway throught he first and I didn't see him again.

Did Edwards do much else other than his 3 goals? Also do you guys at the game think he or Hartlett will play round 1 or both?

Also they said on SEN that Kreuzer got 9 touches in the 1st quarter. Was he playing ruck and did he continue his good work throughout the game? Win many hitouts?

Murph reported for a head on tackle. I missed it!

Waiting in line for a beer, looking out the glass in the Social Club.

Waitey took an absolute hanger over big Minson. Carrazzo nearly a hanger too. He had the thing on a string!

So much upside, promise and youth. No backward steps at all. The boys have size and strength. Grigger had a crack at Aka, the footy was hot boys.

Gibbs, will be a SUPERSTAR..........

Kruezer? This kid is 19. Knows where to run, lead, and present. Unfortunately (for JK), he has shown me more today than Josh did in two years.

They look hungry. Well coached and committed. Without getting to far ahead, we 'HAVE' so much upside. Edwards took some really strong one grab pack marks. Slight frame though.

Carlos played too. He has lost a lot of weight unfortunately.

Scotto played forward for a 1/4 or so too.

But that man Judd, how good is it too see him in the Navy Blue.

As for Walks, a real worry. He tackled Rob Murphy, put him on his ass, landed hard and did not move. Got up very slowly holding the shoulder.

Ripped the tape off and punched the back of the bench!

Went straight down into the rooms, after that. Ratt's said after the game on SEN it was the same shoulder as the op. Will have scans tomorrow....

I am worried about T-Bird. He got smashed again. Jammo is ahead of him already.

Had run up forward late and made some good contests, but is looking as thin as he was 2 years ago, such a shame, i hope he gets his size back. If anyone has the determination it is Carlos. I dont want to right him off, cause he is one of my favourites, but will struggle to hold a spot in the 22 this year with this setback IMHO

Quick observations from the interchange bench...

* Walker did his shoulder right in front of me - he knew straight away he'd done it again - threw the mouthguard away in disgust and with his good arm whacked the interchange roof from inside. Hopefully a quick recovery for AW

* Murph definitely reported for running over Hahn who had his head over the ball...imho will be be found guilty but will be available round 1.

* If they have it on camera - Aker might have to front up for whacking Banno

* We are going to get smashed in the ruck duels and need to improve at the clearances. Hampson had a shocker against Street and Hudson. Kruezer was very good in the ruck i thought..Cloke has his arse back and didn't look to be 100% today. Simmo and Judd need someone to clear the path for them - otherwise Chris Judd won't be playing past the age of 26.

* Game was a little quick for Steven Browne today but good on Ratts for playing him...firmly believe he'll make it. I ran into Dennis Armfield and Joey Anderson in the car park straight after the siren - i think you'll find one of them will play in Round 1.

* Kruezer was very. very good. Edwards was better and Paul Bower looks to have arrived. Enjoyable afternoon - result irrelevant...the minor problems can be fixed by Round 4 (it's going to take this team some time to gel and work out the game plan).

* For the opposition - if you're looking for a cheap forward who'll get you a few points in a Supercoach/Dreamteam comp - Josh Hill for the Dogs will be a beauty...(wore #20).

Very interesting on the Hartlett Edwards thing. To be honest, I thought Edwards showed more today, but Harts has his size going for him. It's probably not a question we have to worry about until Fish coms back.

Edwards was good today, did a few nice things off the ball aswell, he leads well and showed a great pair of hands and was really close to pulling in a few of those big pack marks. I would be taking him over Harts atm.

Kreuzer was close to BOG today. So quick for a big man, beat Brad Johnson to a contest, cut of a few hand-passes and was really good putting pressure on the ball carrier. Hit targets all day with both foot and lighting hands, filled the gap in def 50 when he had and just read the play really today.

Thanks for the match reports guys.

Gutted for AW, hope he's not out for too long, but it doesn't sound good.
