Where's that figure from true blue?

From this date last year we added over 5500 members.

Anyone thinking we're not going to hit 40K's seriously delusional. :-D

Excellent :)

I seem to remeber a Saints fan on here earlier in the year banging on about how many members they had in comparison to us.

Saints are hoping to break the 30,000 barrier this weekend... :P

Seems like they're having a little giggle at our expense. No mention of all the pet cats and dogs bummer supporters have signed up.

It's fairly obvious that these days players' personal and financial interests are as strong a motivator for performance as pride in the jumper. When you could be traded to Collingwood at the end of any year your loyalty must be questionable.

For this reason I think we need a scheme to give the players an added incentive to win and raise a few extra memberships at the same time.

From this day forth all players must purchase a silver membership for someone after each loss.

Three losses in a row and it's a gold one.

Works for me. :-D

Gooch they corrected this mistake in todays paper, the long queue was a result of bomber fans having to collect their seat tickets, very poor service as many didn't see the start of the game

I think after today (and hopefully after smashing the dees next week) we can pencil in 40k for 2008.

OK EVERYONE!

(I'm sure that got all your attention... though a picture of Jessica Alba naked might be better)

This is the time that you track down every Carlton supporter you know that hasn't signed up yet.

You know where this is going.

Do anything. Buy one for your kid, your mum or aunt for their birthday - who cares!! Let's get some momentum going, leaving all the other teams to wonder why when they have 3-4 wins on the board the Blues have the most supporters IN VICTORIA!

Apart from family, I've signed up 3 people with forms I've gotten from the club - yes ok a little badgering was needed and I do have a restraining order against me at the moment as a result (jeeper, joking!)... if everyone one here signs up a member each at leasy, that a good couple of thousand.

Don't rely on someone else to sign up, get this kickin' yourself!

GO BLUES!!

(...can't half tell I'm still pumped form today's win!)

They were putting it on the scoreboard at todays game that we are about 5000 off the all time record set for a Victorian side which was set by Collingwood in 2003 or 2004 from memory.

Go Blues!!!!!! :)

It's time for us to start breaking positive records again. Let's start with this one.

Apparently the club is doing a big SMS to lapsed members to renew (a mate of mine who did not renew last year got the SMS and believe me he will renew). Great timing from the club, get to these lapsed members after a great victory against the arch enemy.

I have been slack too and hadn't renewed my kids membership this year but got on the phone today and renewed the 2 memberships. The girl on the phone said they have been busier today.

While I was in a good mood today donated our winning score (111) to the Peter Mac.....

The scoreboard figures are likely to have been supplied some time back so the MCG could put together their promos. The club announced 35455 on 1/4. In the last 15 days there's no way we only put on 557 members. The 15 days prior to 1/4 we added around 3000.

I'm still getting mailouts too... meh. Doesn't faze me, except that it is a waste of money for the club.

The mailout had our current membership alongside Essendon*'s - who were perhaps 800 or so in front...

Wonder how we are tracking against the Scum now?!
