The club I believe has made the right decision. As much as a good player Lance was in his early days his attitude over the last few years typified our perfomance as a club. The game has simply gone past him and would be irresponsible for the club to give him another contract with his condition on top of things. This is a message to all players wearing the Navy Blue that the holiday is over. This club is moving forward in a professional manner and can no longer carry people along the journey unless they have something to offer. Lance had his chances but blew it.

As for Ricky Nixon spewing his venom towards the CFC all I can say to him is to show a bit of professionalism. Today Ricky you showed the football world that your a tool. Let's see how good you are by finding Lance a new home and if you can't then you are an even bigger tool.

"Carlton have prejudiced that now haven't they by coming out and saying that he's got a medical condition that doesn't allow him to train or play. Who's going to buy the used car? Anyone?" Nixon said.

Give Ricky enough rope and he'll do the rest.
Ricky, you don't need anyone to question your integrity, cos you prove time and time again all by yourself, that you don't have any.
You admitted yourself, that you want to 'flog a dead horse'.
Isn't there a law against false and misleading information.....you drip!

Nixon also paid out on the club, calling our administration 'pathetic' for the leak, and saying that we'll never be any good while we have such leaks occuring.

Here's a tip ricky - your client is finished, but your relationship with the CFC will be ongoing. Show some class, pal.

He sounded like Jerry Maguire trying desperately to get a gig for Rod Tidwell. Nixon on the way out, so I'd suggest he puts in a CV to Connors, pronto.

I know many here are revelling in the bile and hatred being thrown our way (and I am too to an extent) but I think it's getting out of hand now. Nixon, Waldron, Nisbett, Eddie, Demetriou, Roos, and it would seem the entire media fraternity are all jumping on the bandwagon.

It seems that anyone can get away with public defamation of a football club all of a sudden just because it's us and it's the 'in' thing to do. Something needs to be said to get this shit under control. You can say whatever you want about Carlton with absolute immunity from persecution or legal ramifications it seems, which seems a bit out of place considering how tight the AFL is about this.

This shit has to stop.

You're right!! We should persecute those dicks.

The clubs decision lets every player know there is no-longer any place at MC Labor Park for people who aren't able to committed 100% to the cause for 1 reason or another.

Carlton is very, very quickly becoming a powerful entity under the leadership of King Richard and Swanny. Total professionalism and excepting nothing but the best are their ultimate goals.

Having spent some time with Ratts I firmly believe he will leave no stone unturned in getting his beloved CFC back to the top.

He is fully focused on what needs to be done and I dare any player to step out of line from here on in while he is Coach. It is 1 in all in or don't bother turning up for your pay cheque.

The departure of Whits is virtually the final statement in a long line of statements since King Richard came back on board.

New Board
New Coach
New Assistant Coaches
New Fitness people
New Professionals behind the scenes
New Gym equipment
New Carlton
New Attitude

The players will want for nothing in the near future. They either earn their money and their place on the list or move on. Slackers and Bludgers will be weeded out very quickly by the Club.

Regards Cazzesman

Sufficient players with potential.
A disciplined environment
Total dedication
Excellent coaching staff
Plenty of premiership winning experience around the place for support.

- Might bear fruits a little earlier than others expect.

Great post Cazzesman. From reading between the lines, one could assume you aren't too devastated at the loss of Lance!

Blueman, I'm with you all the way...

That Ricky Allison doesn't hold back, sorry I think that may have been Dave Nixon. 8)

Have you ever heard the phrase Forgive and forget?

How can you train when you're knee is shot?

Change your sig to thanks for the memories and move on.

Diesel and his knee may have suffered the same fate if he was a 28 year old player on our list this year. No club could hide a slow and fat centreman in the forwardline like Carlton did when they moved Ratten and Brown into the middle.

If his knees were so shot why did he keep presenting himself looking like a pig.
It took the club to suspend him to make him realise he had to lose weight.
Its a new era at Carlton and passangers like Lance Whitnall will no longer be tolerated.

Shame his knee gave out this year, he was pretty good last season.

Lance disagrees that his knee is bad.. and thinks its an excuse to shift him so the club doesnt get pelted by the fans for sacking him.
Lance believes he has 2 years left... and he also believes the club has cost him with other clubs.
If Lances knee isnt bad.... and he is that bad.... he shouldnt even be thinking about playing.

Lance and Nixon are clingging on to the past

Another classy post from the person who wanted to dump Walker instead of Kennedy to get Judd.

Nice one Shane W.

Whitnall's knee wouldn't let him train more than once a week and that appears to be one of the reasons he was let go.

So hero, if Lance knee was so bad why didn't he present himself in better shape at the start of the year???? Why did it take him for him to be suspended for him to lose weight?? What about all the trips to the fat farm???
