Disappointing selections but that's nothing unusual.

Well we have daisy, rowe and white.....10 goals?

At least 12 for Weitering after he starts forward due to Rowe, Marchbank, Plowman and White playing back.

Stuff Casboult.

Great to see SPS, Pickett and Curnow out there to add some sorely lacking X factor.

Astonishing.

Of the midfielders we have C Curnow under a cloud, SPS gifted but underdone, Pickett gifted but underdone, Crippa underdone and limited pre-season.

Surely one of those guys would come in unless these young kids have the tanks to match their undeniable talents.

Yeah, pretty lucky to have gotten a game I would have thought. Wonder how they chose which of White, Daisy, Kerridge and Palmer should get a game?

Highest salary wins.

Also I still think their trying to save face with Daisy, even now.

He's just a little cooked, it's still good it's still good!

Short and sharp session today with a squad of 27 players trading. Good voice and got a sense they are in serious mode.

Didn't see LeBois and SPS looks sharp, confident, silky and ready to play. Mac readied had a grin and was like a jumping bean so maybe he's in contention.

Kicking to goal was good from everywhere and Charlie was snapping accurately from outside 50. He's a freak. Talked to him and he's so lay back and not worried about tomorrow whatsoever.

SOJ kicking was average and he was smiling a fair bit. Hope he sharpens up.

Training was just a loosened so nothing else to take from training but couldn't help admire the skills of Pickett who I thought was LeBois early in the piece.

First time I've actually stood next to Marchbank and Plowman who were right next to Rowe. No doubt they have the size for KP, and they are so athletic. I saw a resemblance with SOS when he was young but faster. Max readied is as tall but more HBF size or 3rd tall. He moves well too. Rowe has more size for one on one contests against gorillas but with the speed our big boys seem to have it looks like team defence could be a way to go against gorillas. A bit risky if opposing coach tries to isolate a Marchbank against Hawkins, but Tigers don't have a Hawkins...but they will rest Nankervis forward no doubt.

I think we will pick a quicker team than last time we met. Palmer and Smedts looked good with their snaps to goal, but who knows what they do in game pressure.

Pickett.

Didn't see Cunners or fisher nor Sumner and White was a bit serious even when all the players went over to sign autographs.

Couldn't help myself, and dropped another k in the shop. It's my sons birthday tomorrow and he wants nothin but his namesake....Carlton.

Come on Carlton, do it for Carlton.

I hop we win. If we go harder for longer and close the oppositions space we can win this.

Pretty excited to see SPS play tomorrow night.

White must have a shut down role in Rance surely, otherwise they would've gone with someone else. Maybe he plays on Riewoldt while Rowe takes Griffiths/Nankervis with Weitering forward, not sure though.

Big show of faith in Lamb, here's hoping he backs it up.

Pickett, SPS, Charlie, Weitering, Marchbank, Silvagni, Plowman, Cripps. Good look at our future tomorrow night.

White offers versatility and Lamb is a very safe pair of hands, the type who would look better in a better side. Thomas likewise is in because he is a safe pair of hands. I'm sensing it's all about Quality. Reality is it would be suicide to play too many young players all at once.

Its pointless being safe hands if you cant win the ball. Personally, I'd much rather Cunningham in the 22. He's line ball with Thomas which puts him in the side IMO. He's the future. Daisy's the past.

Yeah,

I agree, that one possession he gets is usually with clean hands.... Then he fluffs the Kick, but usually showing real leadership to the youngsters when he fluffs it.....

Give me a break.
Generally happy with the selections except for one... Obviously..... Kerridge at least will add some midfield possessions and grunt... Mind you I would rather the day when there is an clear replacement

It's going to be a long year, no doubt about it.

But we have three of the draft of 2015 and one of 2016 getting a gig round 1. We have young guns Cripps and Docherty playing. Pickett and Marchbank playing. Macreadie emergency. Byrne injured. McKay not too far away.

Morons in the media don't pay much more than lip service.

Sam will be on fire.

This is what he dreamed for in the Northern Territory.

Melbourne club and the big games.

Sam is from Halls Creek in WA.

Otherwise agree the sentiment. He will love the big crowd.

You are 100% correct about White.
He can play anywhere on the park and is probably the only player in the team who can.
Thomas is lucky to be playing in my opinion.
So is Jack on exposed pre-season form.
We have gone for a bit of pace outside. I hope Bolts tells SPS to enjoy himself and hunt possessions.

Richmond doesn't look that flash but we will be hard pressed to win this. As I have posted elsewhere, I think there is a fundamental flaw in the game plan whereby we press too deep and allow their forwards to get behind us.
