Dane, maybe sit out the next couple of plays big guy. You're coming across as jet lagged. Not your usual measured, considered and sober self....

Rowe has the worst awareness I've ever seen and that includes Kosi

Went today
Just like the old days
A young lady with a baby couldn't believe how bad the toilets were
Couldn't be stuffed saying anything but how soft we have become as a society

Weitering
Graham
McKay
Byrne all positives

Jones Tutt a liabilities Rowe is not the player he was 2 years ago
Smith doesn't look like he has put on any muscle

It's a journey and it's only the beginning
Reckon if we have a good run with injuries we can win 8 to 10 games

Today brought back great memories of my childhood
Including the packed tram trip up Royal Parade

Richmond beat Hawthorn by 71 points today.

I doubt Hawthorn supporters are worried.

No one thinks we're going to be a good side, but we're missing most of our best players, adjusting to a new game plan and not rotating as much as our opposition.

Hooray...some sanity !

Dons were a lot closer to full strength (less the WADA victims) than we were. It's all about training for us still, building endurance, and finding out who can play. Sadly I think Rowe is cooked.....terrible errors.

Not sure why the club didn't expect a big crowd today ? They ran out of water at half time, and the queues at the bar were 40m.

'Jet lagged', 'fatigued' & 'tired and emotional' are all polite euphemisms for your current condition.

As in -
"Ladies & gentlemen, Molly Meldrum had to go home early this evening due to being jet lagged as a newt".

Spot on.

Like we've been doing for the last how long?

Keogh, I've read a lot of your posts over the years, some of them pretty blunt, harsh and unforgiving.

But this one.... I had to double take to see it really was you... am impressed

I was pretty pissed off at stages during todays game, but then I realised this...
It was by far the most inexperienced team Carlton has ever fielded. We had 6 players who havent played a senior game yet (7 if you don't count Byrnes 1 qtr against the Scum last year), Prob add another 5-6 with no more than 10 games exp as well. Appart from a shocking 2nd qtr, we held up alright considering..
Add Gibbs, Kruezer, Kerridge Murphy, Cripps, Walker White Thomas Wright and it d be a totally different story.
But all you ll hear from the Scum loving media is good news stories about how great the Bombers were, barely mentioning we were fielding virtually a Nthrn Blues side against them.

when 20,000 hard rusted footy supporters turn up to princes park for a practice game and gws cannot even get 10,000 at afl games, you realise what a game is being played off field at the afl commission...they have got no idea about football...and my message to surrey blue - my mate - princes park is still a live option for afl games - we need a board with large walnuts...

1. Even the punters realised how weak our squad was compared to Essendon* - they went into the match favourites
2. Is it too late to delist Jones?
3. Weitering :) :)
4. Curnow kicking to Curnow was fun.
5. SOSOS & Harry showed some sprouts
6. It's technically still February so WGAF about the result, especially when we had zero midfielders and played project players
7. Most importantly - no surprise our forward line is impotent - we've traded every forward capable of averaging more than a goal a game away since 2013

I don't care if you have 18 All-Australian players (as selected by the voting panel of Luke Darcy and Kevin Bartlett) out of your team...there is no excuse for only kicking four goals in a match. Who did they have on the forward line? Gomer Pyle?

These pre-season matches really are not positive experiences. They should just have internal trial matches, and no matches against other teams. I would prefer going into a season with fake optimism than knowing another year of disaster waits. I know these matches are about blooding young players etc...and the best 10 players were out, but even still...kick more than 4 goals please.

Maybe Zach Tuohy needs a stint in the forward line. Rob Peter to pay Paul.

But Tappy......we won 2 pre season flags under Pago. That gave us plenty of fake optimism, and doesn't that make it worse when we crash ? Bolton is doing the right thing. Our biggest challenge this year will definitely be kicking a score though.

Best thing to come out of today was that the new kids showed some balls.

Worst thing is that it was @#$%&! Essendon*.
