The irony:

At 3/4 time the loud speakers were playing music with the lyrics:

"Let's see how far we've come !!!
Let's see how far we've come !!! "

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Just finished watching the 2nd quarter again and here is my run down with all the mistakes listed while I watched.

- Carrazzo chooses to kick the ball wide and shallow from centre of ground.
- Lack of communication and block between Lucas & Armfield.
- Carrazzo gains possession again and kicks badly forward again.
- Ball comes back and a weak effort from Carrazzo to mark with one hand.
- Bad handball from Curnow creates turnover and GOAL.
- Ball goes inside 50 and Betts lacks genuine effort and decides to want the cheap get instead, ball rebounds out.
- Bad kick forward by Judd but he created the setup and run.
- Poor tackling by Walker & Gibbs in centre of the ground.
- Cachia lacks desperation and smarts as Cloke steps around and GOALS.
- Armfield ran down on wing. Better awareness needed.
- Slow entry forward by Collingwood but Cachia gives Pendlebury way too much room to make and GOAL.
- Bad option by McLean to shoot for goal but Shaw drops the mark and Betts luckily scores a goal.
- Bad kick forward by Tuohy.
- McLean misses goal from set shot which he should have kicked.
- Bad game sense by Robinson to run towards Swan which creates a overtap from Collingwood's defensive 50.
- Bad decision making by Murphy. Overthinks with the ball going forward and gives off a bad handball.
- Gibbs decides to tap the ball rather than taking the tackle which would have guaranteed a ball up inside 50.
- Murphy and Simpson decide to run passed a 1 on 1 contest on the wing while Dwyer decides to help out his team mate and win the ball.
- Henderson gets the angle wrong on the ball and chooses to play his opponent when he should have ran straight at the ball and knocked the ball out of bounds.
- Bad switching by defensive group and average kick by Jamison from defensive 50, Henderson needed to tackle not push so that the ball went out of bounds.
- Bad kick from Curnow on defensive 50, creates throw in 70m out from Collingwood's goal.
- Weak effort from Armfield as Blair snatches the ball from him.
- Bad handball from Robinson to Lucas.
- McInnes watches the ball and his opponent rather than impacting the contest and gaining possession.
- Bad kick by Lucas out of defensive 50.
- Bad kick by Cachia going forward.
- Henderson tries to step around opponent rather than kick in defense, gets caught holding the ball. Lucas stupidly runs on knowing it was a free kick. 50m penalty. GOAL.
- Simpson unprepared to go back and block Cloke. Cloke marks.
- Missed tackle by McLean near boundary line, though Murphy and Carrazzo were in no mans land and couldn't even provide pressure.
- Bad kick by Walker across the ground to McLean.
- Henderson taps the ball inside of taking the tackle on the wing in heavy traffic. Ball gets loose and Elliot is all by himself and strolls into GOAL..
- Jamison loses Cloke. Cloke marks 15m and GOALS with 2 seconds left on the clock.

What a quarter.

I was going to make a gag about Garlett playing well to escape your review of stuff ups when I realized he probably didn't get a touch to stuff up.

True,

He was one of the few who stood around like a statue in the centre of the ground when a free kick was called while Collingwood players ran and spread.....but I let that slide since I would have to name another 5-6 players.

..we should thank this game, and the previous week's too.. ..showed us which players have pride for the jumper.. ..winning and losing is the scoreboard. effort, G&D,, they're the non-negotiables that our players need to adhere to, regardless of whether they're winning, battling or getting spanked..

..over the past two weeks we've seen which players can be counted on.. ..lock those in, and starting looking at the others clinically..

The more I think about this game, the more frustrated and annoyed I get about how easily we rolled over and died. Not a yelp. I'm sick and tired of watching this bunch of mentally insipid individuals just not give a flower.
