Depends how hard I want to be..if their form doesnt improve. But some of them seriously are good enough for VFL only.. Curnow, McLean, Joseph & Bower shouldnt get a game next week, but they will have no choice.

Forget next week. You said certain players shouldnt wear navy blue again.
Brock McLean had 33 possessions and 8 clearances last week as an inside ball winner. One of our best.
Last night he was a forward flanker.
And as a result, you want to drop him and never see him in navy blue?

Interesting perspective. You're not here for the hunting, are you?

I havent posted much of late due to a certain poster on here but keep looking from time to time. I made the trip over to Adelaide and have just arrived home, i havent read the previous posts but i can imagine what most posters have had to say.
I must say i had an enjoyable weekend and saw quite a lot of Carlton supporters and even had one on my flight home game enough to wear his Carlton hat. Pity about the football. I sat just behind our cheersquad and was surrounded by other Carlton supporters.
I found watching from AAMI stadium difficult, it was very hard to see what was going on down the other end and the scoreboard was not very clear.
Where to begin with the game. The only positives i could find were Ellard and the efforts of our youngest players in Bootsma and Watson, the latter i thought played well in difficult circumstances with the ball being down his end so often.
After all of those years of watching us getting thrashed week after week we all knew that the tide would turn and it would be worth it in the end with good draft picks and we were told we wont rise too quickly so we will have sustained time at the top. Well guess what, our time near the top has come and gone. 2011 was probably the best year we will get from this group. I know we have injuries and this has not helped but to be beaten the way we have is not acceptable.
We will all sit back and watch the emergence of Richmond, Adelaide Crows and eventually Melbourne. They will go past us if they havent already.
There are no words to describe how i feel about the club right now, disillusioned isnt strong enough.
After probable losses to Geelong, WCE and Hawthorn in the next 3 games we will be out of the 8 and that is where we will stay.
At least with our plan to copy Geelong and rest players to be fit for September will allow the players to fit and raring to go on their end of season trip during the finals.
Heads must roll for the situation we find ourselves in but i wonder if anyone actually has the guts to make a tough call.
I hope Wookie and Dirko made it through the game okay, for one of the only times ever i left the game before the end. We met lots of disgruntled Carlton supporters on the way out doing the same thing.
I have vented my anger and have been glad i wasnt here to listen to the aftermath on radio and TV.
The only good thing to come out of Saturday night was hearing the news of Essendon* being beaten.

Just on my hobby horse.

Did anyone else notice the size difference in the players?

Hartlett, Boak, Ebert looked like gorrillas and our blokes looked like National Geographic photographers.

Yeah, but did you compare hairstyles?

Our lads would beat them in the Fashions on the Field... and that's what matters!

Strangely, Port had an older and more experienced team on Saturday night than we did.
