What I would like next year is a revenue number posted instead of the membership total.

I agree. Instead of a running total of memberships throughout the year they should just post a running total of membership revenue made. That is when the real figures will show.

Has everyone seen the latest Hitler spoof, where Adolf wants answers on Carlton's membership?

Could someone post it here. I had no luck....

Title should be........ Hitler's Bunker Blues

Thanks

Hitler didnt have to get so upset afterall. The AFL have released the official membership figures on their website today.
Interest Carlton's total is 40,480, slightly more than on the Carlton website and Richmonds are 35,960. So much for Richmond bragging about 40,000 members, they included non-access memberships to inflate the figures.

6th overall about 100 behind the Bummers

Fev factor should be done with by next year, but the membership dept could pull their finger out and start giving a shit about drumming up interest for people to sign up/renew. They could start with a less cringe-inducing slogan for 2011.

I too cringed with the 2010 slogan.

I'm sure it would have been appreciated by wrestling fans (under 25 age group?), but not with the rest of us who had no idea what the excitement was, who can be interpreted as the non wrestling fans.

Some on TC suggested it made the required impact: awareness and easy to remember.
BUT, did that translate into memberships? I'm not talking about the ones who were going to renew their membership, but the new ones, the Fev fans and the ones who haven't?

At the end of the day, every marketing campaign focussed on increased sales is measured by the ROI.
I believe we have less members in 2010 than we did in 2009.
I'll leave it at that and with the TC experts who argued the slogan was a success and may shed some light on the ROI.

Small article here regarding the survey the club recently did

http://www.carltonfc.com.au/news/newsar ... fault.aspx

It says around 8,500 did NOT renew their memberships from last year!

So we are about 2,000 down on last year but gained over 5,000 "new" members...

And Hawthorn has 10,000 members in Tassie. Carlton has more support here than Hawthorn but won't market here. If there was ever an untapped resource it's here. It's what happens when you get slack and have sponsors to burn. It won't last forever so get onto the supporter base, which is supposedly second only to Collingwood nationwide.

Pies have over 18,000 3 game memberships and they count lol. Maybe we could scrap our 11 game memberships and sell two 4 game and one 3 game package to each member? Triple our tally.

We already have 3 and 5 game memberships that we count, so no it wouldn't.

In the Hun today it says out of our 40,480 memberships we have 8,362 3 and 5 game memberships
2,362 are 3 game and the remaining 6,000 are five game country/interstate membership.

I wonder how that translates into total revenue compared to last year?

On face value that seems to be a large percentage on the lower priced membership category.

Only the 3 game memberships were introduced this season; the 5 game memberships have been around for years.

I would love to know the breakdown for the other membership categories for us. Take away the 3/5 game memberships and there's around 32K in the other categories.
