Maybe that's why Ratts was given the full time job. He can actually coach to the result required... :-D

I'm not a tanker, but like I said in June, there is more value in playing a young, losing side at this point in the season, than winning. I will be very satisfied with two more close losses, while playing the kids and learning about our list. Mind you, I won't be bagging any blues supporters who want the win. That's what makes us great supporters. We love to win, because we are passionate about our club.

Big difference between playing to lose (tanking) at round 4, 10 or even 14 (that's what I mean by being a "tanker"), than playing the kids (to check out your list and ensure a loss) in round 20. You have guys on here that have been wanting us to lose since May/June. I'm not one of them. But I will be hoping for a loss next week. In fact if we've gone through the pain of the last 10 weeks for nothing, I'll be furious.

Someone put it really well earlier in the thread (I think Jars). It's a simple cost benefit analysis. Once the benefit of losing exceeds the cost (like in the last few weeks), I can accept it.

Look there is being unrealistic
Then there is false hope
Then denial
Then acceptance..

Some go through the phases well behind....

It's been happening for the last three years.

Let it happen for another three, we'll be right then. I promise.
