With Freo losing and the Pois winning, this game has me on edge again... ffs

Not quite sure what you mean here...

If we have a bad loss next week and Collingwood have a decent win, they will go past us on percentage, right?

Last time I looked, we can lose one game (but not a thrashing) and still make the finals if Freo lose again and as long as the Filth don't thrash Melbourne,

OR we jump Freo even if they win next week as long as we win both games (and our winning margins are not much more than a pass even if the Filth flog - not outrageously - Melbourne),

OR we jump the Dogs if they lose to GWS next week (my tip as the most likely drawn result of the remaining games) as long as we win both our games.

(Forget Hawthorn - they won't lose either of their games, but we can only hope.)

Very possible I've missed something here, but we are far from gone.

The worst scenario is that almost everything goes right except the Filth edge us out by a late percentage grab.

Just win both, Blues, somehow...

They'd need a massive win to make up 7% at this stage of the year wouldn't they?

Clarkson will be on heat coaching against Hawthorn next week. That will not be a given for them.
Having said that, I can’t see us playing finals.

Melbourne won't let them win by the required 70+ margin, I think it might be (assuming we win one game by one point and don't get flogged in the other), just as one sort of example. Any mathematicians in here?

Squiggle is earning its keep this year.

Hawks % went up about 4 when they beat us by 10goals and ours went down by about 4, For pies to pass our % they would need to won by 8-10 goals and we lose by similar

And that's assuming we beat the Eagles by under 10 points

Couldn't agree more c29!!!

In fact, knowing what a competitive beast Vossy is, and his friendship with MaCrae, a win today (as tokenistic as it is compared to what Coll have done to us of late), will be a sweet final nail in Collingwood's coffin

I'm not expecting us to win both our last 2 games but TODAY must be a win so we shut the door on the filth and wipe the smile of MaCrae's face (oh...and that perennial freekick chasing Daicos)!!

PS. Cazz...god I hope you are right about your predictions for today...I couldn't bear another week with Coll still being talked about as making a Lazarus charge into the finals...please be right Cazz!!!!!!!

Go Blues

That spiteful See You Next Tuesday turd could think of nothing better than deny Hawthorn finals

Could be a big upset next week

Melbourne will play with freedom next week and would love to stop Coll (if they're still in the race)...reckon they might win

How are we sitting here with Collingwood potentially making finals and us not. Gosh darn it. flower Brisbane.

We need someone to spark us like Daicos does for them.

By the way. Collingwood will smash Melbourne. We know they will. Let’s be realistic. St Kilda will smash us to.

Better we are honest about this.

Today, I sure hope we dont give up. But we are weak mentally.

Prove us wrong Carlton. But I am not expecting anything unfortunately. They have broken me.

In the event we pip West Coast (and I am also broken and reckon we won't) then we will have roughly a 22 goal advantage on Collingwood percentage wise. So a Hawthorn like effort v Saint Kilda could still open the door for them.

I feel the same way.
We have had lots of disappointing seasons over the last 29 years but if we miss the 8 this year, which I think we will, this will be the worst.
To be sitting a clear 2nd to this is almost too much to comprehend.
How on earth did this happen?
I hope the club proves me wrong too.
Not even sure I want to watch it.
By the way the Saints will be rubbing their hands together at the thought of playing us next week.

The season was done and dusted after last week’s disastrous performance

Expecting to be comfortably beaten by two teams that are not in finals contention. Pretty embarrassing.

This year with so many underwhelming teams was our best chance for a flag in a long time

However, this club has been ordinary for a long time and remains so

West Coast should win today however I wonder how motivated they will be.
They will be doing a big favour for their bitter rivals Freo if they are victorious. Imagine us a similar situation with nothing much to play for and a victory making it easier for Collingwood or Essendon* making the top 8?
No doubt their coach and uncontracted players will give 100% however I wonder about some of their senior established players.

In that alternate scenario I would bet my house on a Carlton win.

This is the return bout of the Covid game in Sydney.

Eagles with buckets of injuries and we capitulate.

Opportunity to put it right... Will we take it?

Will we f&#k...

It's their last home game for the season and they're a huge chance against us, they'll be motivated.

The Eagles will win today.
The Saints will be high on confidence after last night and will pummel us next week.
Our Season is as good as over and deep down, we all know it.
