It's like we start fast and then try to slow it down but when we slow it down we stuff it up because we have no structures and we don't really know what we are doing.

Both weeks we've started well, then seem to change our style of footy and we don't score for an eternity.

Whatever it is its making want to withdraw from football at the moment.

..it's déjà-vu..

I'm sorry Jezz, the evidence that Warnock and Wood are any better than each other is sketchy.

Lots of hitouts and nothing vs Some hitouts and marks around the ground. Also Warnock has apparently injured his shoulder again.

Some good news though: Walker is in line to play next week, and Daisy could be as little as fortnight away.

It is not all Mick's fault, but going for a bitter ego driven coach who looks out of touch is not a way forward, we obviously hopelessly over rated our list. And why does Mick fumble over players names and have to keep looking at the team list to work out who is actually in the team.

Thought the same.
Quite telling when he was fumbling around for the names of our leaders and could only come up with Judd, Simpson and, after as an afterthought, Jamison.
No more needs to be said, really.

....because they're are crap, and easy to forget.. ....he needs to look at the list, because after the game you'd be hard pressed to name our leaders too....

Luke Beveridge. great example of a coach who leads and inspires and instils self belief.

would anyone have said at the start of the season our list is inferior to the dogs?

Structurally? Yes, I would have. I think we have more talent overall but they have a better spread.

They're playing confident football, but they've done that for more than a decade prior. That culture is still there, but they don't have the bodies or the mindset to survive finals football.

I'd rather have the reality check in the early rounds and respond or not instead of bowing out in the first week of the finals. Ask Richmond what they'd prefer long-term.

I'm going to keep an eye on things until round 6 before I make any bold declarations about the season, but it's nice to see every team having a crack at some point.

I'm officially neither here nor there if we keep Mick or not. I don't really care if the players like him. Because the way they are performing, they don't deserve to have their preference considered. I feel like we need to nuke the place (board and all) & start fresh. Apart from Doc & glimpses from Menz, Yazz and Cripps - the club is stale & going backwards at a rate of knots.

I'm not advocating for us to have a fire sale & sell anyone over 25. Because that wouldn't get us anywhere. That would make us Melbourne under Neeld. But we desperately need to start loading up on quality kids. Hopefully SOS knows what to do with picks outside the first rd....because there's really nothing to go off to say if he does given GWS's concessions.

The worst part is I just don't trust those in power to make the right decisions. And I honestly can't see anyone bothering to make any meaningful change. So, I'm quickly losing interest. I'll watch & go to games. But I'll struggle to care if we lose. Must say, I think I'm going to have a very productive year at uni now though.

Docherty will be captain. Thank our lucky stars he grew up a Carlton supporter. Otherwise he'd be at Norf right now.

Is carlton'so list worse than the dogs?
Our list is worse by a mile. Bulldogs have 8 "A or B" graders between 18 and 23. I struggle to find 1 at carlton

I was thinking about this the other day, but is he a similar personality/leader to Simmo for example? I'd give the captaincy to Buckley - you know he would fire up and tell others what he expects of those who wear the navy blue.

God yeah, they pants us by a space. They have pace and great young players....we have neither. Basket care the Blues, and as we speak the Ain'ters have stormed past us....another team with youth and ability......sadly lacking at Ikon Park.

Reality check is that it is between us and Dees for the spoon and my $ is on the us to get the no.1 draft pick. But can we stuff it up again and get duds like Gibbs, Murphy and never on the park Kreuz ? Lol.

Gibbs had 10 tackles. He may not be the leader people want him to be, but to say he doesn't try is just rubbish.

I get that, but he is now at a point in his career where he can take care of the KPIs, and then look to bring others into the game either with his possessions or with his voice and body work.

He needs to help carry more of the load so others will kick on. It's not a team of 22 front runners, it's a team laced with boys learning how to become men within the context of a football field.

I thought he was bringing in players with his hard ball gets and off loading.

Having said that I expect a little bit more, and less high bombs. He's smarter than that and can sell the dummy more than he does. Just goes to show how much pressure they are playing under....imo

Watching Bruce destroy GC just makes me wonder how we have been unable to find a forward capable of taking a mark ( and converting......yes that's you Levi) for so long. And all we can get is a C grader with no tank from the Bullies. On dear. Hang your heads in shame CFC.

It's what happens when you don't use a sub 15 pick on a tall forward for a decade.

Disgraceful. They should all walk.

Are you making the point we are scraping the bottom of the barrel with an unproven kid from the reserves or are you highlighting our captain doesn't show he cares or are you kidding?
