I'm considering recording this and watching it once I know the result to avoid the inevitable frustration.

Tip: In front by a few goals in the last quarter and lose.
MM: "We took a huge step forward tonight as a group".

I know it's the obvoius but, Natnuui has to be contained otherwise he'll run riot, great atheletisimn silky smooth for a man his size. Maybe Casboult is the one for now.
We miss Kruz badly, can't forget the decommissioning of Jolly what a great thump.
Inspirational things like that set the tone, more aggressions and passion are needed.

Can't go too tall, very wet week in Perth so might be a wet night if the forecast is right this far out

Good weather for chest marks...better keep Jones in the 22.

I reckon we win this by 1-2 goals.
wce has no backline.
liam jones and hendo will have a field day. With yarran in a big oval he will carve them up. Judd will also be up n about playing over there.

flower the game plan. Play one on one, beat your opponent and play on at all times. just like under 12 football. We cant go wrong and it will be a more effective system

Casboult, Armfield, Ellard, Tutt all went to Perth.
A 24 man squad.

Hoping Ellard and Armfield are just going home to visit family.

Cripps sub? He's fit to play 80% game time; same can't be said of Carrazzo, Murphy, Gibbs, Judd and Simpson. I think one of those names should be the sub... perhaps Gibbs?

 Gibbs as sub! Good one jimmae!

If another tall is needed, then Casboult and Tutt in, and possibly Ellard for Smith.

If another tall isn't needed then Tutt and Ellard in.

Whoever wins the midfield will win the game.

Perth does not strike me as a town where it rains for days?

Not usually Mikkey, but it's settled in.

If it keeps like this it will be like the last two WAFL grand finals, both lost by the WCE recerves club EAST Perth.

Each time the WCE reserves were beaten by a side that attacked the contest harder and just kept smashing bodies.

WCE have some very physically suspect players in Masten, Gaff, Lucas, Yeo and Wellingham.

I realize we are hardly Spartan like in our efforts but, if it keeps raining, Ellard and Armfield would be good additions.

I am hoping the boys really modeled the game on pre-season form:
Carl v Richmond - we played like our first NAB cup match. But we looked completely different after that.
But then, we came out with a fast moving, energetic display in NAB 2 v the Pies.
We played with good intensity against the Cats in NAB 3.

Am surprised Boekhorst is not pushing for selection. Mature age, first pick should be close and playing well. Plus, his speed was a big factor. And he is West Australian so should be the perfect place for his debut, if form warranted - which it should!
I'm not having a go at him as much as the recruiters (what role did Mick, Wiley have in this...?) who selected him ahead of Leverde when we could have got both (assuming he is as good as they thought...). will be watching their relative progress over the next couple of years.

ANYWAY, I think Priddis is more of a problem than NicNat. If we can stop him getting the ball out, then NicNat's 15mins of highlights should not be enough. We need to win the clearances like last week but then move it quickly to a guy in space who can measure his options (without stopping or going backwards).
The key is to be hard and intense in every facet of the match. There were a lot of guys last week puffing and panting last week but way too much ball/opponent watching; way too little uncompromising intent on and off the ball.
The stats last week flattered us - many of the tackles I saw were more like an arm being thrown out in the direction of a player. You could literally see the Tiger players think "I'm just going to run through (or past) you and I know you won't put in the effort to stop me."
