Reasonable from the inheritor of Walls' mantle, Lloyd.

He's not far wrong

He is spot on I think

Murph never trains day before game.

I've lost count of the number of times people have freaked when he doesn't do full training before the game.

There are a number of Port players underdone as well.

Don't think I've agreed w Lloyd before but it's fairly accurate. List Management and recruiting is and has been our biggest issue for a decade.

I'm comfortable with drafting of past 2 seasons but it needs to keep going. Graham, Cripps, Holman, Buckley, Menzel give me some hope for the future but a lot more needs to be done. Unfortunately it takes time and we've waited long enough.

So bloody nervous. Sometimes I wish I didn't care so much.

First time in a few years I've not pencilled in a win in Rd 1. Blues really are the "who knows" team this year.

Don`t miss Rroyd`s hard hitting month ahead.
Next week he catches up with "Ol Father Time" Dustin Fletcher and reminisces about the time he stuck out his leg to prevent Eddie Betts streaming into goal, and how he hilariously skips training.
The following week he puts Carltons key position players under the microscope.-Are they good enough?
Then an explosive interview with Jobe Watson-The pressure of expectation that comes with being a top 4 side.
And finally, he opens the archives and questions Carltons salary cap fines-They didn`t go hard enough!

So true PPW. Seems like very few of us can see through that bullshit though.

At least Malthouse has given me some hope this week! We are about to go into 11 in his premiership clock....in other words - Simpson, Walker, Judd, Scotland, Jamison & comp. have 2 years to put it together before the next wave. I agree with MM and Lloyd has no f#%cking idea.

He isn’t telling us anything we didn’t already know.
Our list is getting older.
We need to inject some youth into our team for the future.
Our player development and recruiting have been less than acceptable.
We haven’t played our players in their most damaging positions and our structures and game plan is detrimental due to these circumstances.
Injuries have struck at the worst possible times and at the same player types.
Malthouse’s old game plan is shit and he needs to adapt and innovate.

For one reason or another our coaching and development have been dreadful over the past few years.
What we need is an injection of enthusiasm, discipline, work ethic, some luck with injuries and a structured game plan.

We had some bad losses last year for all sorts of stupid reasons but with another year of analysing, good decision making and recruiting we should be closer to rectifying those mistakes.

Hey Psych don't get sucked into Lloyd's toxic ways.

Lloyd...the guy who thought a Gumbleton and Yarran straight swap would be a fair outcome. He's vindictive, needs to vent on another team and enjoys magnifying any weaknesses of ours. In the meantime (Tullama)Rome burns; let him fiddle.

C'mon Blues, show some true grit from the first bounce!

Any article that discusses Carlton's youth and doesn't mention Menzel is a load of crap. Expect nothing less from the flog though.

That's a great article. I wonder who wrote it, because on my device it actually shows up that Lloyd did. Did that happen to anyone else?

Hi Tom

Don't think I've been sucked in? :? Just think he made some fair points. I generally try and look at the content more than the writer.

As for Lloyd he needs to have a crack at other clubs to make himself feel better because his club is an absolute basket case.

I can imagine it went like this Moshe.

Lloyd to ghost writer. "I want to write an article on how bad Carlton are and how they will struggle. Can you have it done by 5pm? Thanks"

I'm there. Flew in from South Africa on Thursday night to get back for start of the season. Going into the season with no idea of what has happened over the preseason across the whole competition.
Have enjoyed all three games so far and a win tonight would top off a great opening weekend.
Anyone out for a few drinks before the game? If so, where?
