Sounds like a better hitout (haven't been able to access any footage...sounds like I'm not missing much). Rowe in particular sounds pleasing.

How keen were Sydney though? Their disdain of preseason comps is well known.

Sydney's first half was like our first half against GWS

Surprisingly; we outplayed them.

They were awful, but Rowe, Hammer and Cas played well regardless.

Round One selection will be interesting.

Pick Three out of Hampson Kruezer Warnock Rowe Casboult.

Pick Two out of Jamison White Henderson Watson McCarthy.

Not to mention the midfielders! :smoking:

Watson and McCarthy won't play round.

Yes, I was looking forward to watching Watson today (after the intra club reports) but he was awful.

Rowe played better in the backline the few times he went down there..

Why couldn't you have 2 KPF and 2 rucks?

Might well depend upon the fitness of Waite?

Things didnt look good early but the last 3 quarters that we played were much better. I think at half time of the first game the players may have received their first Malthouse spray.
So good to see Rowe play do well, Casboult could be anything if he could only learn to kick straight.
Lots of positives to come out of the game, no injuries.
Just give us the cup, and i dont mean the NAB cup.

Long way to go yet. Watson the last few weeks has been good. He's a kid, two steps forward one back. Just nice to have competition for spots.

Did anybody else watch it on the AFL TV stream? Mine was a series of stills punctuated by two second bursts of live action.

I watched it on foxtel, picture was lost for a few minutes though. Commentary was terrible.

Caught that on this thread. I assume the AFL stream was direct from Fox. Worst stream I have had for three years. I am assessing it over the NAB cup before forking out my hard earned for an annual subscription.

The picture was not of a high standard but the stream didn't break up. Might have been some sort of bottleneck at your end.

The Foxtel picture vanished off and on when the storm hit Blacktown for awhile; but it's never happened before......not to us anyhow.....we won....

Does anyone know when we play again?.....I haven't been paying enough attention to the concept/series....

Bryce and Yarran looked good

All up a very positive runout
