But not now. Collingwood by 6. A good result for us.

This is an 8 point game now. We have StKilda's four and now we need our own.

I think with Fremantle winning today against West Coast, we now need to beat Sydney tomorrow to get into finals (and win the rest of our games as well).
Freo now look the goods to make the finals along with Nth Melbourne if we don't win tomorrow, what a bugger that would be to get to 13 wins and not make the finals on percentage.
We could make it on % if we beat Brisbane by 60+ pts, then Gold Coast by 100+ pts
I guess that there is a lot of water to still go under the bridge yet.

Tomorrow against the Swannies really shapes our season

Freo still have to play Adelaide at AAMI and North at Etihad.

Win tomorow, and the race for the the 8 is still wide open...

Its all about development with them.

Exactly and each is different.

McInnes is mentally strong enough to keep going and the more he does the better he will get. Here is a great chance to get 10 games into him before the season is over.

Casboult has looked slow at times. That is typical of big kids coming in, it takes them time to adjust. How is going back to the reserves going to help that? He's just starting to get some match fitness into him. He's played three games all year. Him being up there has helped our structure enormously. Having him there will also take pressure off Waite and give Eddie some space.

This.

Loved Davies' left foot inward pass in the last to set up a forward thrust. And I'm pretty sure he was the defender that punched the ball 30 m over the boundary line in Deledios last ditch attempt. It only won us the game I suppose.

The fist was McInnes.
I like Psych's thinking re giving Davies a (brief) go in the midfield but maybe sub related. It's interesting to read the view of him as a junior: in my watching of him at Ants and Blues I haven't seen much evidence of the pace and poise. He doesn't seem to have an outstanding attribute, either as a defender or forward, but maybe he can develop as a mid: hard working, courageous, strong...
The club sees something in him that I haven't - maybe that is the way to unlock it?

Yep, I acknowledge that they play Adelaide & Nth Melb, but they are currently 2 wins + percentage ahead of us. If they drop those 2 games, then they are still ahead!

Gonna be tough to beat an inform Sydney who are looking to win 9 in a row (a first for the Sydney team)

freo winning today really means we have to win all games for the remainder of the year

it aint gonna happen

if we lose one we will have to win 2 by large margins to boost out percentage a lot !

it aint gonna happen

Its not impossible that westcoast fall out of the 8 if they keep playing like yesterday. I reckon we are about a 25% chance right now. Will be 40% if we win today and 5% if we dont.

Hard to see us winning given we are playing the top team and we are struggling to make the eight, but as always we live in hope.

Stkilda will be the other real toughie.

I think we are as much of a chance as we were against the Pies and Dogs, but we need the Swans to be off their soup a little to get up.

Subs Davies and Dennis-Lane.
