I don't think Cats will shy away from their proven game plan, nor will they change it too much to match Carlton.
We're the underdogs, not them.
We drop out of the 8 if we lose and others win. It's THAT important!

I look at what you think could happen and its like everyone elses: dependent on the mifield to win.
If they struggle, Watson and Bower supporting Jammo doesn't fill me with much confidence.
Pods, Hawkin West are not novices; they the reigning Premiership fwds. Add Motlop Stokes Johnson an their mids and you have trouble if the mids leak.

I like the idea of Hendersen at CHF, love it.
But that depends on Kreuzer's availabilty?
I'm led to believe its Kreuzer, Hendo and Duigan in and Waite is out indefinetely.
If Kreuzer plays, the 3 ruckmen would be retained.

We are thin on good big talls ( because of fitness & form)
I don't think Gibbs has much choice where he's selected.

Just doing my team, I look at who to put at HB, C, HF ...on the usual types (Johnson, Enright, Mackie)...it's Gibbs everytime as that "Mr Fix it, Mr dependable in my teams. I'm always robbing Peter to pay Paul though. I reclon against Cats its time to play Ginns mid/ fwd imo to help the ream. When everyone's back he can go back to asignments for the MC.

Got a better feeling about this game than I did on Saturday night and Sunday, and Monday, and Tuesday...geez, we gotta get up. I don't want our players being average like they seem to be off field in the 'boys club'. Its all up to the players.

You have Joseph in the backline. No tagging at all? Midfield? HB?[/quote]

how bout joseph in the northern 2's cause thats where he should be based on form

No. No he shouldn't. Unless you want to explain to me the flaws in his job on Boak the other night?

I am as filthy as anyone about our recent performances and where we find ourselves. I'm frustrated and angry about our myriad of issues and the fact that we have done little to address them over a number of weeks.

After the port game, I was absolutely livid. I can't fathom how poor we have become.

I desperately want us to be successful and rediscover our mojo.

With the events of the week and seeing our club, players, coach, president and CEO under attack, I have found myself getting my back up. Really wanting to defend the club and tell everyone to @#$%&! off. I have my doubts on ratts but seeing his presser today I really felt for him.

We have dug our own hole and it should never take external pressures to fire us up, however I hope the players and coaches are now galvanized and fight like hell to work our way out of this mess.

I would put Gibbs on Stevie J.. Stevie has been floating around the last few weeks just tracking the ball wherever it goes

This to me, would be the perfect match up for Gibbs and a great chance to arrest his slump

Boak playing with Plantar Fasciitis.

Joseph CONTINUALLY handballs to his teamates feet. Dreadful disposal/decision making which has been apparent in his game for some time.

I'm not a massive Joseph fan by any stretch - a lot of what you said certainly rings true.

Having said that - he did his job on the weekend, one of the few to do so, and should retain it until otherwise. I reckon he could do a job on Selwood as well. I don't believe plantar fascilitis is something that is open/shut going to affect a player's performance. Kennedy against the Bulldogs in rd 1 seemed to go alright. A lot of players seem to report about just wanting to run it into the ground until you feel it crack as opposed to wanting to rest it up.

I have played with plantar fasciitis. Its a nightmare. You think you are ok but really you arn't and then when it goes you realise how much it was restricting you.

First player to 'high contact' Selwood buys every member a drink.

I think I played with his cousin, Nick. It was a nightmare as well. Never knew what he would do next.

I think he's be flattered.
Interesting they said to pressure him onto his wrong foot and then showed him on the left delivering a perfectly weighted pass to a teammate with it. I'll take that.

I think it has more to do with Tony De Bolfo only working two days a week.
