Why didn't we know about this earlier?? Could have saved 14 pages of pointless conjecture.

Just like last year, no news isn't bad news.

But it could also indicate he isn't going to sign with CFC

Remember a guy named Ablett??

Remember a guy called Gibbs? Everyone had their undies in a twist about him leaving a year ago.

And if I remember correctly, and I know I do, the same undies were twisted for Murphy a few seasons ago.

Lets stress ourselves to death when there's something to stress about.

If that is what is going to keep Murphy at Carlton I would rather he not be at the club.

It just may help him reconsider about the grass being greener on the other side of the fence

Also maybe his old man can tell him about when he swapped to Nth and Sth Melb and possibly tarnished his career a tad towards the end (not a lot) - rather than being a one club player???

Ummmm ... didn't Murphy's dad play for Fitzroy first and foremost?

Rumour on BF has him in the sights of Essendon*. How they would ever be able to get him is anyone's guess.

It might not just be money, he's been busting a gut so far so maybe he's waiting to see how the side progresses.

So for once, BF may have been on the money. A poster was definate that Essendon* had spoken to him over the off season. This may drag on alot longer yet. I heard Swan on the radio on Saturday and he was asked about Murphy's contract. Said the same things as it was going good, all negotiations stall. He was confident that he would stay. But then again he said the same thing about Grigg.

Not itchy big kahuna, just an article worth posting. Would however be good if something Swanny says actually came true within the period he mentions! Seems to be normal now to stall supporters..

I remember the whole Gibbs signing saga. The fact that his management were waiting for Selwood to sign with the Cats and see how much he gets.

It annoys me that we will go through the same thing next year with the GWS and Gibbs.

I'd MUCH rather lose Gibbs than Murphy.

Personally though, I still think Kruzer is our best no.1 pick.
