Perhaps you might take a page out of Teague's book and bow out with some grace and dignity.

Suck, it up and get on with life just as he will. You have been given a fair crack at getting your point across so now do us all a favor and be a good loser. If DT moves to the Tigers, give him all your support and buy a Tigers membership.

Regards Cazzesman

You are out of your depth with personal attacks. Should look at yourself in the mirror before calling others losers.

Mandate is now clear - finals next year or sack the board.

I'm pretty sure my depth is about ankle high for personal attacks but alas your depth for 'Teague excuses' has just passed your nostrils. Take a breath before you drown.

The Mandate for you good self is also clear, find another hobby horse because this one is off to the glue factory and there is nothing you can say that will stop it. Maybe to take things off your mind, PM Keogh and form an 'Overthrow The Board Posse' on the Dark AFL Web.

Regards Cazzesman

Media headlines.................... :garthp:

.............“Our expectation based on the list that we have, we are looking to make finals in 2022,” Sayers told reporters.

“The Carlton Football Club is pursing winning games, getting ourselves into finals and winning premierships.

Not sure it was Bold or just a statement of fact. With our list fit and healthy and with a decent game plan, we certainly should be looking to make finals. Seems a logical statement to me.

What is he suppose to say............."Yeah we sacked Teague and now we are just hoping to make up the numbers in 2022."

That would help the membership drive. :screwy: :screwy: :screwy:

Regards Cazzesman

Blowtorch well and truly on the next coach. Finals in 2 years or your out.

And don't you think their should be a blowtorch on the Coach with this list? At its best surely this list should be better than Essendon*.

I disagree Cazzeman
Our recruiting is the problem more so than coaching
We have so many overrated players on our list a couple of stars and not a lot of depth in the midfield
Clearly the board thinks otherwise
Nothing has changed for me other than Sayers is a better speaker than the Blues Brother

If you are referring to your endless fanboi support of Teague then yes, many here have been asking ourselves that very same question for some weeks now.

I see one of our new board members - Lahra Carey (where the flower the h comes into it I'll never know), runs her own PR company. Will have her hands full already.

Well I think it's the wrong decision. I respect the decision but it's not the right one. I bet my left nut as I know how this club rolls. It's another short sighted messiah complex decision and Sayers is stuck in the 80s and probably has Jack Elliot as his idol.

Are they over-rated or under developed and therefor under performing as a result? That is the big question we all want answered.

I think guys like SPS, McGovern, Dow, O'Brien, Setterfield and Fisher all have the AFL skill set, but they all (lesser extent with Fisher) lack the ability to play fierce, physical contested football consistently. The playing staff have not been able to instill that into them which an issue with the coaching staff.

Of course I respect the decision - it's a short sighted one and will get us no where and another head coach sacked. Media conference shows clear indication of overrating the list.

But a decision is a decision good or bad I respect it - even though it's a very poor and short sighted one for the Club.

Interesting snipet from the Age

Amid widespread criticism about their handling of Teague and the review process, Sayers said that it had been Teague’s preference not to bring his future to a head until the end of the season.

So is it safe to say all the rabid Media speculation was bought on by DT himself, wanting to see out the Season.

Kinda changes the entire landscape of the past few weeks.

Is it too ridiculous to suggest that our captains should be changed.

Absolutely we want that answer
Based on the sample set it doesn’t look good
Kennedy has come on
The rest except for snippets from Dow have been huge disappointments
So is it the players DNA or the coach
The board whoever is on it think it’s the coach and the footy department that deals with players development
Not who recruited them in the first place
This is the boards view time and time again

The path the board is taking is assuming that we are actually on the right path other than the senior
Coach and an assistant
Two of the boards changes were forced Jeanne has had enough and the bloke who left has been involved in developing the facilities
His job is done
It’s the same old same old
Essendon* were forced to go to a younger team
That’s one of the reasons they have improved
They have got their drafting right

Teague had his flaws and I certainly agree defensively he was poor but the bottom line to me is our list is thin with some stars at the top
If Walsh or Weitering sustain injuries next year the new coach will really struggle
Ad nauseam we will find out

That was a clear point made by Sayers and yet then media don’t want to acknowledge that at all

No it’s not ridiculous. I would relieve Cripps & Docherty of the captaincy and tell them to focus on getting their bodies right and getting back to playing elite footy.

Weitering (captain) & Walsh (vice captain) works for me.
