How does the Coll loss cost us any more than the GC loss??

That makes zero sense.
Fair to question my flawed logic and you're right, it's still 4 pts dropped.

It's a game in melbourne that got away. Just felt more significant in a tight race for the 8.

Now:

7th- Carlton 32 points
8th- Collingwood 28 points

If we beat them:

4th- Carlton 36 points

11th- Collingwood 24 points

But we didn't so lets move on.

Exactly.

JFC I hope the players aren't as fragile as we are. It's one game we lost and arguably we were due for it. Yes it was against the filth and we don't want that but get over it (and we get the chance for revenge in round 23).

What better way to rebound than against those cheating druggies?

Also if we win, it's likely to be a 2 game gap as Melbourne should respond and knock them off this Monday.

my sincere apologies for answering the question.

CM do you think we're top 4 material? I don't... Yet... I think there's far too many holes in our turnover and defence of turnover game.

But I still reckon we smash them

If we could get our best team on the park for an extended period of time I think we could beat anyone. But our defensive side of the game still has holes probably because we are weakest on the wings hence why I would play Walsh on a wing (95% game time) and when Williams returns use Docherty on the other (80-90% game time). I would keep Dow in to rotate through the middle and use him in shorter bursts (40-60% game time).

Just my opinion.

Peter Wright isn't a great footballer but either is the player we'll have on him. Young has really struggled the past couple of games. He was taken to the cleaners against the Swans.
The key is supply. Wright's great value its he's a magnificent kick for goal. I'd have him top 3 in the game. Give him opportunities and he'll make you pay.
The midfield pressure needs to be top shelf. If we let players like Merrett lace out Peter Wright, it will be a tough assignment.

BH with a full team and at our best I think we are pretty close. It is the likes of the Bombers, who are woeful at the moment, that we need to put away with a ruthless intent.

Had a gut feeling Boyd is in better form than Stocker.

A lot of changes makes me Nervous.
Giving Dow 1 Game then dropping him wow… didn’t think he did much wrong.
I thought Cottrell has been really composed with the ball coming out of defence. And underrated keeping the ball in our 50.
Stocker well he’s been underdone all year not sure why there’s a sudden urge to change the d setup that
much.

Need to force him up the ground to get his kicks.

Boyd for Stocker is fair enough on form IMO. It’s a bit of surprise to me that Stocker isn’t even an emergency though. I think all the other changes were predictable once we knew Harry & Marchbank were playing.

Don’t fall for the “they are shit, we’ll smash ‘em” stuff. This will be a tough game.

I’ll be doing heel clicks if we get away with a one point win and no injuries.

Well up the ground. He'll slot them from 55-60m

Boyd in Stocker out surprised me. Boyd must have played really well in vfl.

agree that it could be tougher than form would suggest. i’m nervy about this one, as much as i was for the pies game.

not much that i saw previously on the tape.

maybe it’s about matchups? speed and kicking out of defence?

So good to have competition for spots. You could mount a case for every omission to have survived.

When was the last time we could say that?

Stocker and Dow INCREDIBLY unlucky

Dropping a player after 1 game doesn't sit well with me (yes, I don't need to be told that I'm not on the MC)

Could argue that Owies, Fisher, Durdin, Setters, Cottrell, Newnes, LOB and Carroll haven't covered themselves in glory all year on a consistent basis

JUST WIN
JUST BANK 4 POINTS
JUST KEEP YOURSELVES IN THE HUNT FOR SEPTEMBER
JUST GIVE ME A WEEKEND WHERE IM NOT THINKING OF COVID
JUST DESTROY THEIR CELEBRATION

It's not much to ask
