Seriously, how does Army get another game?

Simple.
He's quick.
He's hard at the man and the footy.
He's never beaten when the ball is on the ground and he still has a remote possibility of getting it or killing it.
He gives you 100% of what he has, even though that isn't as silky as some of our higher regarded poseurs.

He gets a game because he's everything Gibbs isn't but should be.

You obviously watch closely the nuances of the game, in particular The relationship between Effort Talent Will and Results.

I admire what he has achieved and achieves. No superstar but honest and committed to the teams cause. Does his job.

How much are Geelong paying for 100+? This could get ugly.

If we get belted tonight do you think we'll have the unwelcome record of being the first team to have a friday night game shifted to 7mate the next friday night we're playing?

BS, how long would such meetings take? 5 minutes? 15? 30?

Let's say 10, or 6 an hour. That's 7 hours and 20 minutes each week just sitting down with each player to have a chat. That's about 20% of the standard working week, but 'only' say 10% of Mick's.

Add into that he'd often be repeating himself in regards to team instructions and advice, and you see why that might be a silly logistical challenge to set for a head coach.

There's a technological approach that could streamline it a bit more, but we're talking about a football club here, not Google's support network.

If a platoon commander a police chief or a university head coach can do it, can do it, a, AFL footy coach can. There's no such thing as a working week.

All depends how important it is to the leaders. If members of your team are struggling, support must come from the top.

Our bad run with injuries hasn't exactly helped our cause this year...

No doubt it has contributed to our bad results because we are so thin with talent.

Missing our First Ruck Kreuzer has been a killer blow despite MM grooming him as a forward.

MM reliance on Wood who fades in the 2nd half, and Warnock who did nothing over summer to improve his skills proves MM-Buttifant were always going to fail in this area.

Missing our Full Back Jamison and our CHF Henderson is a huge blow to our chances. Neither has performed this year other than the bag Hendo kicked against the bottom team of kids.

Walker is the other big one. Form to some degree related to Fitness has been a huge issue for him...or past his use by date...or comfortable with his final contract. I miss him most.

Players not prepared well over summer and [REDACTED] game plan are the biggest contributors to failure Imo.

Is anyone going to show up to the game tonight? It'll be interesting to see what kind of attendance they get, I would imagine there wouldn't be too many Carlton supporters turning up. The low membership numbers and attendance will have a pretty big impact on their bottom line this year.

At least there should still be plenty of navy blue and white in the crowd.

We've been robbed against these guys too many times. As unlikely and as crazy as it is to suggest, it would be so good to bag a win tonight.

I know a few members, not involved with TC who will not go and see the slaughter...their words.

MMs game plan and inability to move the players has lost the supporters, MDG ensured there was nothing to see here after round 2 apart from a few new retreads treading water and Buttifant forgot that players need to be prepared to play 120 minutes of footy not 45.

I would go if I was living in Melbourne, because I'm a tragic and the kids would love to get out and watch the boys play....till they gave up, and if Carlton looked to be competitive tonight and maybe finally get over Geelong I'd be there with the family encouraging the team right up to the dying minutes.

Im looking forward to the game tonite.
Knowing we will lose and a step closer to change
wondering if Moshes water analogy will be picked up by the media;
It is deserving;
And still hopeful that,
The bowl will break
And we'll start again;
Fresh and clean.
A club to be proud of
With the joy of watching a new team emerge
Under a good moral compass
Good management and planning
A club for all to enjoy
No more a plaything for the careless few.

You may say I'm a dreamer.....

Or possibly perverse...

:P

You might want to start early - say 3pm?

I reckon we'll get inside 4 goals. But will be joining Daneo - belting scotch, not rum though.

Hopefully there will be a workable gameplan before the first bounce. I'm a bit ambivalent about how it's going to pan out.....

Will it be scotch, probably not rum, maybe a few beers or will I settle in with a nice post-dinner red ???

As I said earlier, competitive showing. Result decided by a late free to them. Most likely Selwood
